The kiss to the hand and so much as an ‘in your debt’ remark, it probably wasn’t much surprise that the treasure hunter was flustered.

It was a good feeling, though. It had been a while since he’d felt this amount of warmth around another person. Normally he’d have run by now before attachments could be made where guilt could become a problem. Perhaps something from his past kept him from repeating that old mistake. Finally he found his tongue again and smiled. “I’m glad to hear it...never would have imagined leaving such an impression, but I’m honored.”
