ㅤas always, sol has impeccable timing — they're just finishing up with their last client of the day when they hear their phone buzzing on the desk behind them. within the next two minutes, they're peeling the disposable gloves off their hands, tossing them into the trash, and pulling up the new messages. ...a surprise, huh? consider their interest piqued. five minutes? gaze darts to the clock in the corner of the screen and byan ponders for a moment whether they should reply to the texts or get their things together so they're simply ready to go when their boyfriend arrives. sucking on their bottom lip, struggling to make a decision one way or the other, they waste more of their limited time than necessary before finally getting to their feet — phone shoved into their back pocket, the tattoo artist starts erratically gathering their belongings and tossing them haphazardly into their cutesy messenger bag.

impatient and excited, they're bouncing on the tips of their toes in the waiting area in a matter of minutes, eagerly watching out the windows of the shop for the first glimpse of sol and, once he does finally come into view, they're at the door before he can even reach for it.

"ㅤthe question is almost out the door before they are, practically leaping on to poor sol without any warning. arms wrap around his shoulders, and their eyes stare directly into his as if searching for the answer (an answer some part of them just knows he's going to make them wait even longer for, because he knows how little patience they have and loves to use that to tease them).

a pause comes abruptly as they seem to remember themself though, and byan presses a quick greeting peck to their boyfriend's lips.
