If you feel that Ganon was lacking wisdom and that’s why he fell to ruin, what part of the triforce do you think Link and Zelda were lacking that led to their lack of success at various points in the game?

if this is about botw i just did a whole fucking rant about zelda but oooh boy can i do link. because. god. agh. fuck.

link lacks power. he fails the first time the calamity comes around because he lacks power. not power in the traditional "battle prowess" sense though, which i know is confusing since i literally JUST said that battle prowess is most often how link displays power, but hear me out. Link is just as powerless as zelda pre-calamity. he is locked into his role and he is never allowed to be anything less than perfect. he goes MUTE over this. he has absolutely no wiggle room when it comes to his destiny--he knows that he must either kill ganon or die trying. He is POWERLESS against the force of his own fate. he has zero say over who he is. he allows everyone around him to shape him into the perfect hero and he never once speaks out or attempts to become something outside of how they see him. this is an insanely suffocating TRAP he is in and the only way out of it is for him to literally die.

the fact that he loses his memories when he comes back is deliberate. this is a kid who was never allowed to define himself, who was so completely powerless to change his own life. And he wakes up with NOTHING, and he is FORCED to rebuild his life himself. where there once was zero room for deviation whatsoever, there are now endless possibilities. no one remembers him. he can be literally whoever he wants to be and no one can say shit about it. link rebuilding his life after 100 years is a reclamation of the power that was taken from him the second he pulled that sword, and THAT'S why he's able to beat ganon the second time around.

I couldn’t put the audio I wanted to animate in, so I just went “okay.” And tried to work on a different one both for fun and to figure out the audio situation.

The app kept pausing repeatedly, over and over to the point where I almost cried UNTIL I finally realized that I probably only had to update the app. Okay.

So I did that.

And it worked!

Except everything beforehand had stressed me out, and the app decided that immediately shoving an advertisement in my face after opening it again was the best course of action.

Great.

I get things set up properly for the animation this time without any more problems! (lying)
