Gentlest reminder that you're allowed to change your AAC if you need/want to
You're not wasting time or resources, it's meant to help you
Sometimes what worked earlier no longer works for you
And that's okay

Handler is making a PowerPoint presentation on AAC. It would like feedback.
AAC and Me A presentation on Augmentative and Alternative Communication
Its aac awareness month and I'm wondering if y'all could give me some advice? I'm remaking my hand-made one moving it from index cards on a ring to a blank spiral journal. I'm drawing the images by hand. I still cant access high tech so this will do.
Any tips in general? Any words one wouldn't expect to need but come up quite often? Any tips for how to organize it? Anything that's a must for non-digital?
I don't know if there's more questions I should ask, so if you have any tips at all I'd like em
Ok so I've been getting into AAC (Augmentative and alternative communication)(because my brain likes adding little pictures to words and using different voices) and I have a little suggestion/recommendation for people who use apps that let you put in custom images.
If you're having trouble with the categories or coloring, try using specific characters for categories.
Like My Melody for a Time category or Sans for the Halloween category.
If anybody wants custom images or other recommendations feel free to ask :B
Thinking of getting a small speaker for B0x (AAC device)...
Anyone have any experience with using a separate speaker?
We have one in mind, an inexpensive Bluetooth one, but we don't know whether it's worth getting
Building a keyboard on Coughdrop
Using Coughdrop for text-to-speech
Hope this helps ^.^
Hi! I was wondering how you went about putting together your AAC? Thank you! :)
Hello!
A lot of it was trial and error
I can't tell you how many times we made and deleted boards, switched apps, ect 😭
The pre-set boards don't work for our brain, so we make all our boards from scratch
The most important thing is finding out what works for YOU - there's no right or wrong way to set up your AAC, as long as it's comfortable and usable for you ♡
