Trip to HMart and I couldn't help taking photos of vegetables and fruits that I know and love or that I'd like to get to know. The first is one of many types of Korean Melons (Cucumis melo), which is firm, delicious, and less sweet than a cantaloupe (excited for recipes, @namu_farm!); the second is Chinese Okra (Luffa acutangula) and is actually a Luffa (yes like the sponge, but eaten when young); Bittermelon aka Karela (Momordica spp.); Crown Daisy aka Shungiku (Glebionis coronaria); AA Choy aka Celtuce or Chinese Stem Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) grown for cooking its tasty stem; and the last two are treats containing Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), one of my favorite wild herbs. #koreanmelon #cucumismelo #chineseokra #luffa #luffaacutangula #karela #indianbittermelon #momordica #crowndaisy #shungiku #glebioniscoronaria #aachoy #celtuce #chinesestemlettuce #lactucasativa #mugwort #artemisiavulgaris #hmart (at H Mart)
