The weird noise I was talking about! It's kind of in between a groan and a low scream? Very animal but doesn't sound like any of the animals we know (imo).
It seems to be the loudest in northern Bahari but I do hear it in the south. I think it's originating from the north but so loud that you can hear it in the south? Which for me, is further proof that it's either a bug or a new sound because none of the animals or gatherables are that loud. I was running around for a while and I heard quieter bits of it off and on but I wasn't able to pinpoint exactly where the noise was loudest.
At first I thought it was connected to the disco deer because every time I heard it someone was hunting one, but I'm not sure about that. It really doesn't sound like it. And in in the same recording, I hunted one, got super close, and didn't hear this noise at all. And again, none of the animals are so loud that you can hear them across the map (even the disco deer's magical swish isn't that loud).
I'm not sure!! It could def be a bug but it doesn't sound like any of the other sounds in the game. Even if one sound was being somehow being amplified, we'd at least recognize it and it would happen more often. The animals are constantly making little noises while this one has clear breaks in between that last minutes. I'm not sure if there's a consistent pattern... But my point is, it sounds different and new and not like anything I've ever heard in Bahari. Considering they just released news about the elderwoods.... perhaps........ a cheeky spoiler.........
