like im someone who sucks at being comforting when someone opens up about trauma and it can easily overwhelm me but i know that it's not an Offense for gods sake thinking it's an Offense will only make you, if you are prone to getting overwhelmed already, feel justified in reacting badly instead of keeping your discomfort to yourself. and if someone is made uncomfortable by YOUR LIFE when you share it then they're not a bad person either. but something offending a person who is not a Bad Person (therefore a Good Person of course) is clearly a Bad Thing, done by a Bad Person
