Happy Valentines Photography by @carlposeyphoto
One This Day: Jay-Z, Natane Adcock, Damon Dash, Aaliyah, Puff Daddy, and more photographed at Roc-A-Fella Records’ “Big Pimpin’ Party and Barbecue,” held in East Hampton on Monday, July 3, 2000.
During one of her last interviews, with journalist Touré at Jay’s Hamptons mansion just two weeks before her untimely passing in August 2001, Aaliyah said this about her close friend:
“He is the sweetest person. I have so much fun when I’m with him. I admire him because he’s an amazing talent, and on top of that he’s a beautiful person. He’s really good people.”
Attached are some rarely posted (fully size) photos from that event.. (credit @aaliyahpl)

Name an Aaliyah song that would be perfect for Valentines (rather you are in love or lonely).
On this day (Monday, July 9th, 2001)
Aaliyah (along with her publicist, and hair stylists Eric Foreman and Eric Ferrell visit Paris France to discuss her newest album on the Urban radio station (SkyRock)
The red album was first released in Japan on July 7th. France would get their copy of the #redalbum July 24, 2001.
Sadly, this would be ONE of her last (if not THEE last) radio interviews to promote her new album before she passes away August 2001.

W Magazine, May 1999.
Model: Gisele Bundchen on the cover
W is an American fashion magazine which features stories about style through the lens of culture, fashion, art, celebrity, and film. It was created in 1972 by the publisher of sister magazine Women's Wear Daily, James Brady. W Magazines final issue was March 2020.
“Aaliyah Unleashed” turns 20 this month (May).
After seeing Aaliyah interact with fans on Aaliyah2001 .com forums, I was determined to show her what I could do talent wise. I even dreamed of doing something for her (websites, promotional ad designs, video editing, etc). It was after she released “We Need A Resolution” in April 2001 that I decided to flat out change my sites name from “Aaliyah’z World” (with a Yahoo Club called Aaliyahz Club) to “Aaliyah Unleashed”.
Changing the site name was due to a few other Aaliyah fan sites having similar names; such as Aaliyah World, Aaliyah’s World, World of Aaliyah etc.. and I wanted to stand out and avoid confusion. The plan was to shift from aaliyahzworld.fan-page .com to aaliyahunleashed .com but sadly, Aaliyah passed away before my big project was completed.
When she died, I lost a lot of my creative passion, drive and desire to do anything and it took MONTHS to complete aaliyahunleashed .com (including the username@aaliyahunleashed .com domain email). Eventually I terminated the project and stayed with just social media domains.
My only regret was me not living in the moment and enjoying Aaliyah’s presence on the official forum and being so focused on perfecting my website for her to see. Being so caught up in being a perfectionist I probably missed out on getting a hi response from her in a message board post. I beat myself over it for a while but I’m over it and to this day continue to rep Aaliyah.
