Bloody Hell
Derek groaned in pain, carefully pressing a hand to his side. He could feel hot blood running over his fingers and down his side, soaking his shirt with the red liquid. He was a fool. After everything he had told Erica, Isaac and Boyd not to do, he had managed to underestimate the Argents once again. He should have known it was too dangerous to go alone. He should have waited for Scott.. he wasn’t entirely sure what it was that made him trust Scott more than the others, but probably the fact that the boy had managed to get control over his wolf so quickly. He trusted Erica and Isaac with his life - but he didn’t trust them to be good allies in combat. Yet.
The Alpha gritted his teeth and fought the urge to give in to the pain and sink down at the cold wall behind him. Hot pain shot from his side through his entire body. This wasn’t a normal weapon, stuck in his flesh, and he knew it. It was coated with wolfsbane or something similar. No other weapon had ever made him feel so numb and had given him so much agony at the same time. After three failed attempts on pulling the speargun out of his body, he had stopped trying. He couldn’t do it and he knew none of his pack could help him. Apart from the fact that running back to the hide out in his state was a) too exhausting and b) too dangerous. Derek was pretty certain he had managed to lead the hunters off his track but he just couldn’t risk it.
His car was somewhere unreachable for him. The only option was running. Unfortunately he had been running for the last twenty blocks now and slowly but surely all his powers seem to leave him. He knew he was carelessly loud but he just couldn’t hold back the pained panting anymore. After passing three more houses, he came into a more familiar surrounding. Derek felt like he was close to going blind with pain constantly sending shocks through his body but he tried to stay conscious. He was so close..
When he finally reached the house he had been looking for, he went down on his knees for a moment. The wet grass beneath him instantly soaked his pants, but he didn’t care. His clothes were already torn and dirty. No. He couldn’t give up now. Not when only a few steps separated him from.. help. Derek let out a pained growl and managed to get up again. He tumbled a bit and stepped closer to the house. Right. The door wasn’t an option. After all, he didn’t know who was at home..
With literally the last bit of energy he managed to jump and climb up to the window on the first floor. Once he was up, he slumped against the window frame, lifting one hand to bang against the window, leaving a bloody trail on it. Was there light inside or was that the little white lights you see just before you pass out?
//Please, Stiles.. be home..//
