hey, pan spaniard here, throwing in my two cents: i didn't know about this ""cultural difference"" until the whole discourse happened. i've seen bisexual and pansexual flags at madrid pride, the lgbtq youth center i volunteer at acknowledges both... like in my experience for the most part people might be confused about the difference, but if you explain they'll probably get it or at the very least respect it? i've only seen things get this ugly on twitter tbh

It honestly makes me even more confused as to why the skam es actors posted what they did and why the online fandom is acting like it doesn’t exist. As for the show itself, I feel like maybe if this thing with Irene and Alejandro didn’t happen that people wouldn’t have reacted as strong but probably still react in some ways, because the way the panphobic twitter & tumblr fandom is reacting to it is with praise, like they did something right.
But honestly this makes me so happy to hear that it’s acknowledged and that people, when explained about it, at least respect it. <3

I usually tend to dislike 1st person narration too but oh my God I'm still in AWE of how good Ryan's point of view was in throam! He was such a complex and interesting character and his character development was painfully beautiful. It still amazes me how flawed and real he was and how hard I was rooting for him
SAME. can we categorize ryan as an anti-hero? yes, he was real and raw and I wanted to punch him in the face just as much as I wanted him happy. he struggled and scratched the hands that were trying to help him and then struggled again and--- I just care so much about him. it came to the point where I thought “if he doesn’t make it, none of us will” and I don’t know, I just felt this strong camaraderie and I genuinely wanted him to succeed
