Prepare for a heady intoxicating, molten inebriating trip as we sink into the dreamy swirling ambiance of I Know U, PLAYCES’ debut. The new project is a collaboration between Aaron Rays, a producer/multi-instrumentalist from here in the Bay, and AX UX, a mysterious singer songwriter from Brooklyn. The duo have come together to combine their deep love of bass, soul, future, and house on their forthcoming EP, Explorer. I Know U is our first ravishing taste of their shimmering synths, thumping drums, soulful vocals, and warped atmospheres. Though the song starts off dreamy romantic, it shifts into exhilarating, charged intensity halfway through. PLAYCES’ forthcoming Explorer EP features a remix from Red Bull Music Academy alum Astrolith, who boasts remixes for Imagine Dragons, X Ambassadors and Cakes Da Killa, as well as a future-trap-soul rework by Infinity Pool label boss Conrad Clifton.
