so i drew these @athensandspartaadventures kitty cats well over 3 months ago now but i finally bothered to SEND THEM to @en-theos to enjoy and they arrived safely so I can post them :) now go look at her ancient kitty cat art which occupies my thoughts always.

i used to draw cats and Only cats as a kid so it is always a weird time revisiting how to draw them now, and even moreso how to make them look like existing ocs. And I also rarely use markers lately (partly some dried up partly some lent out and not refilled and partly I forgor How and its not Fast like watercolour) but it was a fun challenge :)

sparta kitty is the only one who is modelled on a real cat (my dearly departed boy Ptolemy the Jerk Cat) although I now realize I forgot to draw the nick in his ear.

unfortunately i must prepare to leave the house into the smokey abyss outside and I'm not sure when I'll be able to continue this little journey through redrawing art from 2011 but I hope you're enjoying it!

Second note: The character of Sophia, capital of Bulgaria, belongs to me. I may change her design in later appearances (provided I'll use her).

Third note: Because the characters are personifications of cities, there's a possibility they may appear stereotypical (or even, racist). I feel obligated to add that I'm from South Greece, and since this comic fearures the personification of a city of North Greece, I may be bias and/or get things wrong. If you feel uncomfortable with their portrayal, please DM, explain why and I will delete my comic.

I made this comic a year ago, but only now I found the energy and time to finish it. Thessaloniki (the city) is based on what I recalled when I visited her three years ago, plus photos online of the Nike Avenue.

This translation is from her first photobook that was published in 2019. This is an interview segment where she answers 100 questions about herself, what she likes etc... (a bit like the “This or That” interviews in older photobooks)

In middle and high school I was in the dance club

I was also learning classic ballet. During elementary school if I was in the track and field club I could play dodge ball /i guess that’s why she entered/ (laugh)

A: Except for being a takarasienne I wanted to be a dolphin trainer (laugh)
