i was unexpectedly surprised with a copy of Braiding Sweetgrass I'd put on hold months ago and forgotten about and it turned up coincidentally at the perfect time in my readings since I'd just finished a collection of presentations on the intersections between traditional knowledge, ecology, and healthcare.
I've heard a lot about how important and good this book is even though I hadn't really heard all that much about what it was about or whether or not it would be relevant to the work I'm doing but just having finished the first section i feel like i'm already shooing away that question about relevancy. it's relevant to me as a human living on this planet and that's more than enough in itself.
