Unfamiliar Faces & Places
Jill had been present on the campus for what already felt like a millennium, but in reality, was probably only a few hours. Not that she really kept track, there was the absence of a clock in her room at the moment. The object had been taken down so that she could replace the batteries, only to realize she hadn’t brought any with her, so it had to wait. A watch did hang loosely around her wrist, but the object had been neglected since she go there, a lost memory in the back of her head. An anxious wringing of her hands had her standing in the middle of her unshared room, presence all but uncomfortable. Her side of the room had been unpacked, everything she’d carried along with her settled into it’s respective place. Finally she felt secure enough in partaking in an adventure outside of the dorm room, into the unknown of Alternia Academy.
Gathering what she felt she would need, a notebook that she planned on writing notes about the school in, and a pencil. she inhaled deeply, once, twice, before stepping outside of the room, door closing behind her. Now the adventure begins. Footsteps carried the meek girl down the hallway, green gaze flickering as she glanced around for any physical signs of life.Honestly it was Jill’s mission to keep going until she was absolutely required to speak to anyone, just to keep herself out of the loop. It would be infinitely better that way, not only for her, but for whoever was cursed with the punishment of talking to her.
This whole discovering the campus thing, did in fact end up being harder than it had initially seemed. It took around ten minutes to find the first building, continuously roaming back and forth around one building until she found what she was looking for, really wasn’t what she had anticipated to do. Morale low, Jill finally catches sight of someone. Instantly she freezes, skin crawling slightly at the thought of talking to them, but if it was any support for her trouble, she really had no idea where anything was. A deep breath is taken, and the small girl slowly inches forwards, hesitating. It’s a few more heartbeats of silence before she finally reaches out, tapping them lightly on the forearm. With a voice just above whispering, she begins to speak. “Hi, um... Sorry for bothering you, wow, but I was wondering if you could, um.. Maybe help me find the art labs? I’m.. A little lost.”
