ive mostly just had fun reading lovecraft but i dont rmbr being scared by it, i remember stephen king's the cell scaring the life out of me as a kid tho

Hahah I have the complete opposite reaction,

I love reading Lovecraft and a lot of it is very spooky to me (not everything ofc), but it can be a real chore to read sometimes. Especially stuff like The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, which I do like a lot but MAN, that sucker took a while to get through.

You know, I actually haven’t read much Stephen King. I’ve read The Shining and Carrie. Since I’m on a horror novel bender I should read more of him, and I’ll start with The Cell then!

did u ever read the electric executioner?? that one was super fun imo, but yeah, he’s so heavy with his words that it can get daunting sometimes :s i hope you enjoy the cell!!

Yeah! Especially since I have them all in one large omnibus, so when you’re reading a lot of the stories in a row it’s kinda like “yep, endless voids, and weird scenery, get on with the rest of your sentence, Howard.”

And I’m sure i will!
