Random ask! What were the first impressions Castis and Solana had when Garrus introduced your Shepard to them? Did they approve? Had he told them about her previously so they were 'prepared' to meet her? More importantly, how did *she* feel?
okay so I spent WAY too long looking for the last time I answered a very similar question, which was... 7 years ago?! It hasn't changed too much, but this is coming at it from a little different angle.
The Vakarians wouldn't meet my Shep until at least a few years after the Reaper war. Garrus probably would've told Castis first, but in the context of them growing closer and being more open with each other, and Shepard being systems away and comatose when Garrus left her. Solana would only hear about it after Garrus and Shep have reunited and decided to take some indeterminate off in order to travel.
This doesn't change: Commander Shepard is a figure of merit and self sacrifice, and that probably makes for easy approval from a pair of turians. The things that Castis would have bristled at circa ME1 are sort of made irrelevant due to growth from both parties. Shepard's gotten less rash with other people's lives, and Castis has become more understanding.
The fact that Garrus is planning to skip town with her sours them a little-- more Solana than Castis. When they meet her and she's just sort of quiet and dull, Solana kind of writes her off, but Castis does some gentle digging until he cracks her shell a little.
Shepard would not admit it to a single soul but the whole thing for her was probably scarier than most of her reaper encounters.
