Cape Tormentine is slowly falling into disrepair. A shame as it's a great location. When we visited this time last year there were a few local fishermen on the wharf. To get to the end involved jumping over fractured pieces of the concrete where the ocean is starting to reclaim the structure.

The Thom Mcan building was a popular shoe store chain during the early 20th century. This building also housed the legendary Upstage Club, on the second and third floors. It was founded by Tom and Margaret Potter in 1968. The club was the mecca for upcoming rocknroll stars like, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Vanzandt and Southside Johnny Lyon, to name a few. The club closed in 1971 but it became such an important venue for upcoming musicians, that it is featured in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.

Cummings Cove abandoned house on deer Island. I have made a stop here at least 3 times in the last year trying to get a particularly look. So far the light has not cooperated. Sharing as it is still interesting. As the days get shorter and the Sun shifts, it will make it easier in the coming months to try again. Catching sunsets in the summer can be hard as you need to stay out so late.
