I sent this to myself while i was half asleep idk what i was on about LOL

Imagine carter whos ears always just flop and hang behind him because he was so relaxed and at home in the er at he never felt the need to be alert. But after he got attacked by that patient and stabbed his ears are always up and listening to every sound around him because the idea of someone sneaking up on him scares the life out of him- plus this way he feels like he can hear whats going on with everyone aswell and no one can slip through the cracks (like lucy did).

But of course being so alert for 12 hours of the day means that hes almost always exhausted because hes working extra to listen ti his own patients but also listening to literally every other sound in the ER. He walks around the ER dead on his feet and kept falling asleep at the admitting desk because its the only place he feels safe enough to sleep at work- since hes in the middle of everything and he can wake up and still see almost all the rooms.

Enter wolf Luka and Abby who are already dating but have both been talking how much theyd love to add the bunny to their relationship but seeing how drained he is now was a sign for them to step up and look after him. Abby taking the lead and setting up the on call room like a comfy den filled with her and lukas scent- she told the other staff her plan and they all just wanted the best for carter so they gave her scented bits to add to the den.

Carter couldnt even put up a fight as he ended up sat squished between the two wolves on the gurney- lukas hands still touches his ears comfortly while abbys hand held carters- abby also tilting her head to catch his gaze "we made this so you can get some proper rest at work- we both know how worried you get about everyone so its all scebted to keep you nice and calm.." she squeezes his hand a bit
