I LOVE ABBY SO MUCH! :)
Altercations || Akki, Jacob & Abby
Tortuga so far seemed to have very little to offer the woman, she had retreated earlier that afternoon to her ship not long after spending far too much time arguing with an ignorant woman. From where she was stood upon Shitai she could see the sun setting behind the island, casting a dark shadow upon the docks. The cold soulless black irises of hers didn’t linger on Tortuga for much longer, instead she mustered all of her grace and swung down from the bowsprit of her ship.
Despite her best efforts she landed in an awkward form which she quickly resurrected once approached by a younger member of her crew, she paid little attention to the young lad’s drabble. Turning her back to him and dismissing him with a small flick of her wrist, she cared not for what her crew did that night other than running her ship they were entirely useless. She didn’t need to turn around to be reassured that the young boy had hastily jumped from the ships side to the dock below. She listened to the pad of his bare feet against the crooked planks until they all but disappeared.
She stayed within her silence for quite some time until she realized the thirst that was building, not wishing to seek her personal quarters she turned to face the island once more. With a sharp inhale the female placed her slender hands within the vast kimono sleeves; she was once more adorning her favoured white kimono. The obi belt was trimmed around the top with red; it was elegantly designed and elegantly worn by the waifish female. The layers of extensive fabric that she wore provided a hidden sanctum, in which she concealed her carefully crafted sword.
It had been the very first sword she acquired from a land raid, it had been clearly modelled on an older samurai sword but Akki had found some comfort in the luxurious long sword. She wasn’t fond of daggers and even less of pistols, she quite often carried a short dagger with her only due to the fact it was quicker to remove from the layers of fabric she so often wore. But tonight she carried only her shinshintō, it was strapped to her stomach just below her breast. Like a metal cast it refused to let her sit down, she soon found herself dropping down to the docks and roaming the rowdy Tortuga.
The Captain admired how it came far more alive during the night; men were already drunk and chasing after the woman. The woman themselves seemed to have dressed for an occasion, fans and feathers. She may have met a few people of the West on her travels, but never before had she laid eyes on such a place. It brought neither joy nor dismay to the woman, but that was to be expected. She approached a rather noisy pub; her cool irises darted to the sign that hung above the door. The Crows Nest.
She needn’t dwell on it further, pushing the door open she ignored further arched eyebrows at her choice of dress. In their eyes she might have been deemed to be out of place here in Tortuga, in the pub. But within Akki’s warped mind she had a very different rendition, she continued until she graced the bar counter. Finding space amongst the over-grown boys that called themselves pirates, she began to search for a bar-maid. She was soon to spot the woman she had quarrelled with earlier; a sly smirk crossed her lips. “Little girl,“ she edged her way closer using her thin body to her advantage. “I thought little girls weren’t allowed to work, get me a rum then doll.“ Her final word rolled from her tongue, usually deemed as a compliment unless laced with Akki’s sarcasm.
Crack Pot Classiness || Nate/Abby
Nate gave a yawn, large and catlike as he tried to figure out the door to the Aether dorms as if nothing was amiss, just taking that casual evening stroll. Or was it night? No, it must be morning by now – the sun was up – what cunning skills of deduction he had. Life was some sort of haze – it was to be described like a cycle at best. He had blasted through alcohol like a true sailor (just never to actually step foot on a boat) in order to forget and all that had earned him were a few more regrets. So he went from trying to forget to... trying to not care. Well – care less than he already didn't. Quite the feat but he was determined to get there, this amicable self destructive warpath he was travelling upon with no apparent reason behind it.
It would be a journey, he told himself.
Everyone eventually left him, the coward left standing. Tanner, Alexa, almost Ariana even – he considered himself almost friendless. So it was to his utter (but not wholly unwanted) surprise when Abby, ever considered the good girl, hinted at her want for experimentation. First the drinking and now this? He'd have to be stupid to not notice the line she was toeing – but he was selfish enough to push it off. Who was he to dictate her actions?
Still, the door was evading him – he never made it a habit to get invited into the other dorms, after all Nyx was where all the parties were. Grumbling like a crotchety old dog, he pulled out his phone to call Abby, taking a damned seat on the pavement – he would be part of the furniture today. “Let me in, Abby.” With almost a whine in his voice, Nate yawned again.
