Welcome to "Owl has yet another AU they want to share with you folks." Today's topic: The "DG" au. Don't worry, I'll explain what it stands for as we go.
To begin with: This will contain references to death, abduction, murder, alcoholism, all the usual stuff you'd expect with me going "Let's write something angsty!"
Also, this au is made in collaboration with Ace, aka @a-little-trans-magic. Please support him as much as you support me!
Anyways, time for the fun bit: Going into detail about stuff.
Brief plot summary:
Nine people wake up in a very strange situation with only vague memories of being abducted. They're told by a broadcast they were taken to join a death game (called "The Actor's Game"), they have approximately 12 hours to escape, and they have to work together to get out before the numbered bracelets they're wearing eventually drive them insane with psilirium exposure. They have to make their way through puzzles, trust exercises, and more, but things aren't as simple as they seem...
This au is heavily based on games like Zero Escape and Your Turn To Die, but there is influence from Danganronpa and other such stories as well. Under the cut, I'll get into the characters and some important little notes for the au.
[Please remember: I am not good at drawing characters with the same shapes as they have in-game. Therefore, multiple characters will look just... off as I try to work my style with the Psychonauts style. Most colors are picked from the characters.]
Notes:
The psilirium exposure makes their worst qualities more obvious. I do, in fact, have notes of what that means for everyone, but I'd like to keep that quiet.
There are escape room puzzles they have to go through in specific groups, as well as trust exercises. As time goes on, the psilirium breaks down their logic and trust, so it becomes harder.
If they make a mistake, a tally mark appears on the screen. When the tally amount reaches their number, they are poisoned and killed via the bracelet.
Yes, they are still psychics. The psilirium just makes it hard to use their powers. Some of them can still use them over time, but their control over their powers breaks down.
Hollis is the main character. This is a fact. She is the Very Main Character.
Main Characters
Number 0. Heath Maitasuna
[Image ID: A picture of Heath Maitasuna, winking. He's a man with light pink skin, a heart in his one open eye, and pink hair in a ponytail. He's wearing a surgical mask, a maroon turtleneck, and a lab coat.]
Heath is a 20-something-year-old gay man. He's not a main character for a few main reasons. For one: He dies immediately, making an example of what happens when your bracelet number reaches 0. As well, he's my own oc, and I feel bad when I make my ocs have too much plot significance when the story is focused mainly on the canon folks. Before his death, he was a nurse, and well-liked for his positive attitude and friendly demeanor.
Number 1. Otto Mentallis
[Image ID: A picture of Otto Mentallis, smirking with one hand up. He's got blonde hair sticking up, a blue shirt, dark blue pants, his usual amulet, a bracelet, and a white jacket with teal trim.]
Otto is about 35 or so, but he's not planning on slowing down anytime soon. An inventor by trade and a scientist by choice, Otto is quick to find the right answer. (At least, at first. The psilirium makes it harder as time goes on.) He comes off as brash, uncaring, and untrusting, but he does have a soft spot for his "partner" Ford (They won't ever elaborate on what kind of partner they mean, leaving it up in the air.) Though he's not too strong of a psychic, his mind and his attitude still leave him as someone to be reckoned with-- Especially if there's machinery he can use.
He's 1 because of his intellect, his low psychic ability leading to less psilirium poisoning, and overall aptitude for such a situation.
Number 2. Compton Boole
[Image ID: A picture of Compton Boole, looking very anxious. He's in a simple tan hat and a sweater with sleeves that match it. The sweater is argyle, with white and blue diamonds over his chest.]
Compton is around 33, and recently unemployed after an... incident he refuses to talk about. He tends to keep to himself if given the chance, but he's desperate to keep the peace in situations like this. He doesn't know any of the others in the group at first, but he quickly latches onto Cassie because she seems just as confused as him. His anxiety increases as time goes on, making it hard for him to focus, but he keeps hoping that they'll escape together. That might not be very likely, but he's going to try his best to help the others.
He's 2 because of his unwillingness to take the lead making it unlikely that he'll actually end up doing anything that would be considered as making a mistake.
Number 3. Hollis Forsythe
[Image ID: A picture of Hollis Forsythe, looking exhausted. She's wearing dark blue scrubs and a white belt.]
Hollis is about 23, and is going to be a nurse once she gets through her training. She's a hard worker, and plans far in advance. She's childhood friends with Truman, but she hasn't talked to him for a long time, so it's more of a distant thought on the back of her mind. She's rather stubborn, and has a habit of intruding in conversations accidentally, making her seem ruder than she really is. Over time, she gets more migraines, but she tries her best to push through the situation with the others. However, unlike the others, she doesn't seem to be psychic, which helps her to keep her wits mostly about her.
She's 3 because she has low psychic ability, making her almost immune to psilirium, as well as being rather intelligent.
Number 4. Bob Zanotto-Fullbear
[Image ID: A picture of young Bob Zanotto, looking lovestruck. He has a flower in his hair and much curlier hair than in canon. He's wearing a green long-sleeved shirt, overalls, and a bracelet labeled with the number 4.]
Bob is a 32-year-old guy who works as a gardener (and a guitarist in his free time.) He can be difficult to get close to, but he's secretly a massive softy with a good heart. He's been married to Helmut since he turned 30, and he's been sober since age 27, something he's incredibly proud of. He doesn't react well to stress or new people, but if he's got someone he trusts by his side (Like his husband or his nephew), he's sure he'll manage to get through, even though the psilirium messes with him a lot more than others, thanks to his innate psychic abilities.
He's 4 because he's unlikely to actually input answers to puzzles, and he much prefers to take a backseat to others.
Number 5. Helmut Fullbear-Zanotto
[Image ID: A picture of Helmut Fullbear with a ponytail. His expression is simple, and he has a beard as well as his usual look. He's wearing a green turtleneck, his usual hat, and a blue jacket with dark green trim.]
Helmut is around 33, and currently working as a musician doing small gigs with his husband. He adores Bob to the end of the earth, and would rather be anywhere other than here, but that doesn't mean he won't try to make the best of even the worst situations! The psilirium can't stop him from being there to help his husband and nephew. He loves to play music, and tends to hum when he's nervous.
He's 5 because his psychic abilities are middle-of-the-road, and he'd try to protect Bob and Truman at all costs if it was higher.
Number 6. Truman Zanotto
[Image ID: A picture of Truman Zanotto winking as he waves to the camera. He has more hair on his head and a short beard. As well, he's wearing young Bob's outfit-- A collared green plaid shirt and a pair of brown pants.]
Truman, age 22-ish, is a rather polite young man... most of the time. With the psilirium involved, though, he's a lot more disoriented, and prone to fainting spells. He seems to be suffering from some sort of amnesia, which Hollis assumes is post-traumatic amnesia, which can cause someone to act strangely as well as the missing memories. She's keeping a close eye on him because of this, making sure that it's all okay and that he's not suffering from some sort of severe brain injury. He's a big fan of trains and spy stories, and is most likely to end up writing another James Bond sort of novel when he's got the free time.
He's number 6 because the psilirium takes its effects on him rather early, making him act strangely. He doesn't seem to have his wits fully about him, and he tends to ask for help a lot from others.
Number 7. Lucrecia Mux
[Image ID: a picture of Lucrecia Mux, drawn in her canonical younger outfit. She's smiling, and seems to be watching something out of frame.]
Lucy, a 35-year-old career woman, has been taking care of her (very young) nephew for the past couple of months with her sister and her brother-in-law. She enjoys working with the circus, and has been taking a break from her usual job to do that with little Augie. She has his baby pictures with her, and she's very willing to show him off to others. Extremely, extremely willing. She's playful, and very acrobatic, even though the others don't expect it from her. However, the psilirium affects her heavily with her psychic prowess, making her irritable.
She's 7 because she's extremely powerful psychically and therefore quick to have bad effects from the psilirium.
Number 8. Cassie O'Pia
[Image ID: A picture of Cassie O'Pia when she's young. Her hair is tied up like it is when she's older, and she's wearing the same outfit as the Writer Cassie archetype. (All of her colors are pulled from there as well.)]
Cassie, a 36-year-old writer, is not very amused about being caught up in all of this, but that doesn't stop her from trying her best to help others and to keep people calm. She tends to be the brain cell of the group along with Hollis, and as the oldest of the group, it makes it a lot easier to get people to listen to her. She's got a lot of odd knowledge, but she's bright, she's willing to learn, and she's got a talent for multi-tasking.
She's 8 because she's basically the only way this group is going to survive long enough for the purpose of the game to be revealed.
Number 9. Ford Cruller
[Image ID: A picture of Ford. He's got one finger in the air and the other hand on his hip, and he's in a white button-up shirt, a green striped vest, and dark brown pants.]
Ford is the most mysterious one in the group, but he's really a pretty average guy. He's about 34, and refers to Otto as his "partner". He's quick to take the lead and offer to put his own life on the line, but he doesn't usually think through what he's doing. Ford tends to jump past logic and reason and go straight to the weirdest answers.
He's 9 because if he wasn't, this man would be dead eight times over by now. (/hj)
The villains will get their own post-- There are already a few of them, but they're going to need some special details first, so expect me to take some time before posting that. Also, it's very possible that the villains' post will have to wait until after some of the au is actually, y'know... Written.
However: Feel free to ask questions about it! I'll try my best to answer anything y'all ask me. ^_^
(Welcome back to pre-Psychonauts 2 fanfic where we didn’t know what the Motherlobe was like. You’re getting angst whether you’d like it or not.)
Summary: While on a mission, Sasha is captured. It’s up to Milla to find him, but in the meantime... Sasha does not have a nice time.
(Original writing date: July 21, 2021.
Word count: 2637
Pairings: some light Sasha/Milla implied
Content warnings: Abduction, blood, mild use of torture, amputation.)
Sasha found himself far enough away from Agent Vodello that he couldn't even call for backup, but even that didn't stop him from trying when he first awoke to find his arms and legs tied to an operating table and his right foot serving as a paperweight on a table to his left. They had cut through the leather of his boots, leaving a cuff ring on his right leg. His mind reeled at the sight, daring him to retreat back to sleep, but he refused the idea.
He had no options but to find out where he was, and send out as many distress signals as he could.
Not one found anything.
He cursed softly, and moved his glasses up, doing his best to pick the locks with solely his mind. It didn't want to listen to him, didn't want to accept that he would continue to exert force until it opened or snapped. The instant he got his left arm released, he swung it to the right side, using it to prop himself off of the operating table in order to get a better look at his leg.
There was no pain, but the blood... Blood was all over. The lock had joined the mass of congealed blood, the table had cemented itself to it. The leg itself would likely be amputated simply to ease whatever infections dared to spread from such a thing.
As Sasha began work on the second lock, he heard the sound of footsteps, and quickly returned to his position from before, pretending to be asleep. He used his clairvoyance to poke around, searching for any living organisms, but he found none nearby. At least, none he could see through.
He opened his eyes slowly to find someone-- something?-- sitting at the desk with his foot as their paperweight, humming a little tune as they worked.
Sasha investigated closer, looking at them. Light skin, bright eyes, dark clothes. Their stature was small and nearly invisible in the large clothes they wore, but he could still see that nose peaking out from above a surgical mask, those eyes passing over papers underneath a hood. They paused, as if identifying that something was off, and Sasha tried to hide that he was awake. He couldn't do it in time, as they turned to face him.
No wonder he couldn't sense them.
A machine looked at him, studying the details, and it left the chair, walking to where someone might stand to watch their subject. Though they were small when they sat, when they stood they were barely a foot shorter. Perhaps 5'11", perhaps 6'2", perhaps simply a machine built to keep an eye on him.
"So," it said in a voice that felt vaguely familiar. "You're alive, hm?"
Sasha didn't give the machine a response. In return, a metal hand grabbed his, yanking it from the loosely re-attached cuff. He nearly winced at the force, but barely managed to keep his emotions down.
"Agent Nein, wasn't it? I will enjoy this. You should remember, though. This machine is only one of my many I have built. I know you would never allow for a fair fight, psychonaut. So perhaps I should offer you a choice. Geodesic psychoisolation chamber, and I shall take it upon myself to meet you and harvest what I can from you, or you may remain where you are and accept that from a robot. Of course, as you can see, these machines are far less precise than I am."
"...What do you want?" his voice felt rusty from disuse, but Sasha knew better than to let on that he couldn't place that voice. The robot's owner laughed.
"Why, that's simple. I want to find what makes you tick, Agent Nein. To find what makes a psychonaut compared to the average psychic and the average citizen. I am going to find your every dream, your every memory, and your every fear. And when I am done, you will return to your silly mission. Either you come to my GPC, or remain with the machine, where it will be nowhere near as kind. The choice is up to you.
To stay could be suicide. To leave could be worse. Even so, without his other foot, he wasn't sure what he could do. He needed to see who was holding him hostage.
"....I'll go."
"Good. This won't hurt."
He tried to fight. He truly did try. Yet as the robot pushed a needle into his wrist and injected, his eyes grew heavier with every second. He wanted nothing more than to rest his eyes.
The instant he did, he awoke to find everything different. The echo of the room was off. There was no light, no sound, not even anything hard enough to give him a sense of truly feeling anything.
He attempted a call for help. Once again, nothing.
Finally, a light turned on, and he found himself in a chamber not unlike the ones at Whispering Rock. Not even a thought would escape, though his voice might. A perfect weapon for any non-psychics.
And when he saw the figure who brandished a knife at him, he knew that was the case.
Marvin Sycamore. An American roboticist, not too well known. His biggest claim to fame was escaping a prison after Sasha and Milla had defeated him before.
Sasha's mind whirled, trying to remember how they won the last time. How had they lived? It had to be something.
"I found your little door. How interesting. I've heard you don't even need to be psychic with one of those lovely little portals." Marvin chuckled, messing with the tool. "I only want to probe around. Perhaps if I send a few machines into your head, I can find out the truth behind you, Agent Nein. Who you really are behind your stone-cold attitude..."
He wanted to argue, but he knew better. Sasha remained silent as Marvin affixed the psycho-portal to his forehead, opening Sasha's mind to whatever entity should enter. Three machines were selected, each powering off as they were sent in.
Sasha felt sick to his stomach. Robots weren't meant to be in his head. He attempted to fight, to rile up censors to defend him, but one of the robots took the fight into its own hands, firing a weapon repeatedly. It almost hurt to feel those hits, but he remained calm, refusing to show any signs of pain.
There were vaults, both those he had locked away and those he was fine with being seen. Most would be discovered after very little searching. There was only one he needed to protect.
The machines rampaged through, cracking his defenses, smashing the order he had worked hard to create from the chaos. The crib, the shoeshop, the factory. He was fine with those being seen. They weren't the problem.
It was when they got too close to Milla that it exploded.
Censors swarmed the machines from every direction, visible on Marvin's face as he watched them being torn apart. The instant they had threatened Milla, it had become obvious that they weren't a part of him.
They still had reached the vault there, though.
A memory of the two of them, adventuring, leaving him unsure of whether or not to ask her on a date. In the end, he decided against it, deciding she was too important to lose.
That was dangerous.
"So, this partner of yours... You are aware that she isn't coming, right? No one here but us two, and you're useless as a cracked screen. Why wouldn't they leave you behind?"
He ignored the words as much as he could, trying to repair the damage inside, but before he could truly fix it, another barrage began.
The machines were trying again, attacking him as much as the censors. They didn't approach Milla's mind, content with only Sasha's, but still, he wanted to fight back. Blasts weren't enough. He couldn't burn or throw them. The GPC was doing its job well. Finally, he took one of his censors aside, and gave it a note, sending it on a mission. Marvin and the robots both missed the door between their minds opening and closing, but they didn't miss the next aimed his, slamming into Sasha's mind once more. Cracks appeared on the cube, breaking it apart, and he tried to shield. He tried anything he could to hold out a moment longer.
~
Milla, meanwhile, was terrified. No sign of Sasha anywhere since he had taken off after a suspicious lead. She had tried to follow, but before she could find the place he was off to, he was already gone. Morry had stayed nearby to watch over everything, but it still felt wrong to not even sense him around. He was like a lighthouse to her, and without him, she wasn't sure how to find the shore.
Finally, something strange arrived in her mind. Where she kept her censors to a low, manageable amount, Sasha's ran rampant whenever he was trying to hide issues and smoke his feelings away. She had grown used to a few seeping through the cracks between them, but this time, it was only one in that clean suit Sasha's censors sported, and it looked bruised. It didn't even brandish a stamp as a weapon-- instead, it held a piece of paper as it ran around, repeating its little "No" as she watched it approach. It made its way up, and it stopped in front of her: trained and at Sasha's command, most likely. She took the note from the censor, reading it over.
"Marvin Sycamore. GPC. Hurry. -Nein"
He only spoke like that when he was in extreme trouble, preferring proper sentences at all times (though he did lapse into German sentence structure on occasion). Milla snapped to attention, alerting Morry from where he was reading.
"What's the situation?"
"I think I know where Sasha is."
~
Before his eyes, his carefully put together mind shattered, sending all of them out as the portal closed. He felt drained and exhausted, and though he couldn't remember crying, he could feel tears falling. Perhaps it was sweat instead. Either way, he hated it.
"Is that really it? I thought a Psychonaut could put up more of a fight."
The psycho-portal left a burn on his forehead, one he couldn't help but try to cover with his hair. There wasn't enough. It still felt better to try.
"And yet that's all the fight you have. At least you'll be helpful to my plans." Marvin walked across the chamber, and opened a door to a second chamber, built almost the same way. There was only one difference. Where Sasha lay in his chamber, a machine bearing his face was left in the second, slowly recalibrating as its new data was added from his mind. After a moment, Marvin took Sasha's tools, giving them to the fake, and left Sasha alone.
He almost passed out. The pain was overwhelming, and his head pounded. He didn't know if he could even focus on everything around him. As he tried to focus, he realized something else was different.
Where his foot had been removed, now there was another. Or rather, now there was a mechanical start of one. A frame and the mechanics, solely missing the skin and nerves. He didn't know what to say about it, only stared, his tired eyes desperate to stay open, to stay awake.
"Help," he breathed, hoping something would answer him. The instant Marvin had left him, he knew something was wrong. Now, with his knowledge, he could tell what the plan was.
He wanted to fight against the binding.
Instead, as the door opened, all he could do was watch, staring at it.
Milla.
At the sight of her, everything felt so much more real. He could breathe again. He didn't feel suffocated. She rushed to him, then looked at the other Sasha.
"Darling?"
"It's me," the other answered. "Agent Vodello, I thought you'd never come."
She helped to undo the restraints, unlocking the fake. A smile crossed that face, fleeting and tiny, and he took her hands.
"Thank you."
"It's what any Psychonaut would do for their partner."
"No, Milla. It's what one like you would do." The fake brushed her hair away from her face with one hand, leaning in--
The restraints exploded, freeing the real Sasha to fall to the ground as Milla threw a punch at the fake, then helped him up.
"Agent Nein, I take it?"
He barely managed a nod, his whole body swaying with the blood loss and pain. She wrapped his arm around her, picking him up, and rushed for the door, levitating faster and faster, where most would be too slow to escape in time, Milla zipped out of the way before the door could close. Sasha could see Marvin watching them, as if in slow motion, but they were quicker.
At least, he assumed they were, because that was when he finally passed out.
~
The pain was manageable when he awoke, enough that he could remain awake. He rummaged around on the nearest table, finding his glasses after plenty of effort, and he sat up. There, the pain in his head exploded, and he groaned in agony. A blurred figure stepped into view, and soft hands eased him back down.
"Easy, darling. You took quite the beating."
"Milla? My foot... He was in my mind... I think he saw my memories of you." He tried to find the right problem to focus on, but nothing was clear. He held her hand, a comfort she offered first.
"...Do you want to come inside mine for awhile, darling?"
"I... Yes." He finally relented, closing his eyes, entering a place he knew well.
In his mind and in hers, he felt mostly at ease. She had even set up a room on the other side of the door, pastel and quiet enough to relax in. He leaned against the wall, wondering about when his last cigarette had been, when she arrived.
"You look worse here than you do in real life, Agent Nein."
"..." He gave her a look, though he recognised that she genuinely meant to be honest. She created a mirror for him to look at, to see the extent of the damage.
His glasses were broken, hanging off his nose. His right eye was blackened and puffy, and his forehead was burned. His lip was swollen, and blood had trailed down his face. His clothes hadn't faired much better-- his usual jacket and turtleneck were torn and singed from the fight, and his right foot had been replaced by a rudimentary prosthetic, the least he could ask for.
"...You should do some missions with Morry instead of me for awhile, Milla."
"Nonsense, darling. I can wait with you."
"How long was I out? Did you defeat him? Was he recaptured?" Sasha turned to Milla. She smiled.
"Yes, Morry and I defeated and captured him. He's going to a maximum security prison to await his new sentence."
"...And the first question?"
She avoided his gaze.
"Milla, where are we? How long--"
"We're at the Motherlobe. I promise we'll get you help. No one at camp knew how to fix a broken mind, but I thought--"
"Please. How long."
"...You've been unconscious for a month. Every now and then, you would try to move and then lose consciousness. I thought... I thought I'd lost you."
Her tears were enough for Sasha to stop pressing for answers, instead offering her an awkward hug. She accepted, rushing in and holding him close to her.
"...Does the prosthetic foot at least look nice?"
"No. But we can fix that together."
"...Yes," he answered, managing a true smile. "Yes, I suppose that's true."
Dark Woods Circus AU Chapter 15: Stuntwoman's Circus Part 1
Saturday 12PM, two weeks. It was two weeks ever since the performers and Sam disappeared. It was a hard hit on everybody. Oleander was angry, Loboto was sad, and Penelope was worried when they heard the news, but this was worst for Dart and Dogen, Dogen was crying about how his hister might be dead, and Dart wanted to help. And for Fred, he wanted to help… but was it worth to take one’s life? Especially if it was one who he hated the most? But that wasn’t time to think about it. Just last week, the Psychonauts had constructed the police about the Circus, they said that they’ll get a response in a week. And that was this week. Fred never bothered to look up, he felt weak… but he wasn’t weak. But what mattered was the meeting had ended. Ford hung up the phone and looked at the agents, psychic seven, and Hollis solemnly.
“I just got off with the police…” Ford spoke.
“And?” Bob asked.
“Last week, we told them about the circus… we brought evidence of the circus’ existence which were the tickets, the poster Sam had, and Norma… apparently that was the first time they had learn about that circus.” Ford spoke.
“First time?” Hollis responded with confusion and anger.
“I’m afraid so, unfortunately… they had to stop looking for the circus…” Ford responded.
“But they can’t! They’re children!” Gloria shouted in response.
“I know Agent Gouten, but they found something that was tied to the circus…” Ford spoke.
“Apparently the circus started 5 years ago… and inside the circus were orphans who were… operated on. Here’s was was founded.” Ford explained as he pulled out five reports of missing children.

“So these are the missing orphans?” Edgar asked.
“Exactly, but there was something that I found… disturbing.” Ford responded.
“What was it Ford?” Cassie asked.
“The two headed clown, Raz and Lili… are actually Razputin Aquato and Lilian Zanotto.” Ford responded. That made everyone worried, frightened, but Bob and Lucy enraged.
“That man… that man stole one of my grandchildren?” Lucy asked angrily.
“All my life, me and Helmut were searching for my great niece… and it turns out that she was kidnapped!” Bob asked angrily as well.
“I’m afraid so… the police said that there is a high chance that the children may be dead… but we’re hoping that they aren’t.” Ford explained. “Other than that, I’m afraid that’s what we have. Meeting adjourned.” Ford ended, all of them took there leave, except for Fred, who stayed there, and Hollis who felt worried.
“You coming?” Hollis asked.
“I… I’m not in the mood.” Fred spoke.
“Agent Bonaparte… I know that what you did was wrong… but it was right in some way…” Hollis comforted the tall man.
“How? I killed someone!” Fred spoke.
“But he told you that they were taken to someplace. Does that help?” Hollis asked.
“Why should it?” Fred asked angrily. “This whole thing happened due to how careless we were that we made them sleep till 1AM in the morning. And then have them captured!” Fred shouted. “Apologies Miss Forsythe.” Fred apologized after he shouted.
“Well I can forgive you, but there is still hope… you may go to your office if you want.” Hollis asked. Fred took his leave and shut his office door. Hollis exited as well only to run into Gloria. “I’m worried about Fred… he's… he’s not doing well.” Hollis spoke.
“I know… the only thing that can fix it is to find where they are…” Gloria responded.
“I know… but even if they are returned here… it won’t help.” Hollis answered. “We can’t pretend that everything is fine… there are ups and downs. We need to overcome them.” She continued.
Gloria sighed. “I guess I should go, I need to replace the soil Jasper, Becky, and Bonita have.” She then headed to her office. This was a hard day for her and others. Hollis couldn’t help but… cry. Her tears were overflowing, three dates… three dates had happened. And that was it, no ‘I love you Fred’ happened. And it will never happen as well…
Meanwhile Gloria had finished replacing the soil. “Thanks.” Jasper shook.
“You’re welcome Jasper… I just wish that there was something I could’ve done.” She told the lily.
“But what could you do? That Crispin guy was the source of Fred’s problem!” Becky shook.
“I know! And besides, not only the performers are missing, but also Samantha as well!” Bonita shook in response.
“Yeah…”. Just then, Gloria heard a noise outside her door. She opened it, and saw nothing but tracks. “What the?” Gloria spoke, she then followed the tracks which led to Boyd, Edgar, Oleander, Loboto, and Penelope following after her. Revealing nothing but… a brain in the mobile jar?
“What the… Cal! We found your missing mobile brainjar!” Oleander shouted with glee.
“But how? How can a brain be in that jar… the only thing that ws in here was Norma’s body.” Edgar spoke.
“Speaking of which. Cal, where is Norma’s body?” Boyd asked.
“Penelope keeps the bodies in a storage area where we use bodies as substitutes.” Cal responded.
“Gross… anyways. We need to identify who’s this brain.” Edgar replied, he pulled out his PSI-Portal, it was black and had a red heart, an orange club, a purple diamond, and a green spade. He placed the door on the brain, and the six agents focused on their energy and entered the mental world of the unmarked brain.
Woo, they’re going in!
Also, heck– Didn’t realize Crispin died there. I thought it was just some violence. And Bob and Lucy finding out about their great-niece and great-nephew… Those two are gonna tear the world apart to find them, aren’t they.

The last few days all blurred together, her drifting in and out of consciousness. Bound in iron shackles that she might have easily torn apart if not for the Enochian runes scratched into them. They were expertly prepared, one of the few things in this world that could bind her, pinning her down to earth and clipping her wings. Her hands bled at the wrists, not just from her many attempts to pry the shackles off her, pulling and wrestling with the iron links that kept her chained to the wall, but from the holy runes that burned her skin on contact.
After a long night for trying and failing to escape from her situation, she slumped over, falling to her knees having exhausted all of her strength. The burning ache had dulled over time, less painful than it was before but still a nuisance that kept her from getting any rest. She leaned her head and shoulder up against the cold stone wall of her cell, eyes softly fluttering to a close... when a voice other than one of the guards spoke up in her direction.
“... And what makes you so different than your brethren? Why should you give a damn about me?” Even at a fraction of her strength, she still shot her a venomous glare from the corner of her eye, skeptical that she wanted nothing more than to lure her into another trap.
“Is this another one of your experiments? Because I’m not falling for it that easily.”
