I am not a pete campbell apologist but I am an abe apologist. Maybe he was kind of pretentious but he was literally right about refusing to involve the police at every turn and hating advertising. Also peggy literally stabbed him. Justice for abe
#one of those leftist characters in tv shows i know im supposed to find ridiculous but actually end up siding with more times than not#i love peggy but her dubious morals are exactly what makes her a great advertiser#and i appreciate that the show had her date someone like abe to really make that clear#mad men#just googled him and found out his last name is drexler apparently so#abe drexler#like the issue in their relationship is that peggy claimed to care about all the same things abe did#but she also resented him for like actually caring about those things full time#to me its a really interesting parallel to the don/betty relationship#like being w someone not because you like them but because you want to project a certain morally upstanding image#and then slowly growing to resent the other person for being exactly what you signed up for
