Hellboy, Abe and Nuada with an s/o who is sick but refuses to rest
Hellboy
When he walks into his room from another BPRD mission and sees you pale and clammy in front of your laptop typing hazily he pulls you away having been here before, knowing you never stop until you’re pretty much physically restrained
He is much stronger than you and as of now you don’t have the strength to fight him back only muttering a “let me go, I’m nearly done” he of course ignores you and tucks you into bed leaving to fetch some medicine and water
He walks back in to find you typing away at the laptop again. This time he is firmer picking you up as you squirm and placing you back into bed watching as you take the water and medicine he got before placing an arm over you so you can’t get up again
He wakes up about half an hour later without you beside him only at the laptop again looking very tired and weak, he walks up to you and roughly closes the lid, growling lowly ignoring your promise of only five more minutes and yet again dragging you to bed flopping half his body on yours to trap you in
Too sick and tired to move you cuddle up to his chest lazily making him promise to wake you up after half an hour. You end up asleep on him for a day feeling fresher and a lot better
Abe
During your work shift, he reaches out and brushes his hand against yours feeling your tiredness and lethargy. Abe immediately pulls you away from your work to your protest and begins to load up on medicine, blankets and things to make you feel better
Once you realise he’s not let you out unless you’ve had some sort of rest you try to break free from his hold in bed. Abe doesn’t like restraining you so he tries his best to coax you back promising cuddles and warmth
A mix of exhaustion and bribery spanning a rather small amount of time brings you back to bed where you stay very comfortably. Abe whispers small nothings against your forehead and constantly using his senses to see if you’re hot or cold so he can adjust
Your on and off while sleeping, of course Abe stays with you the whole time unless you need something then he’ll go and get it. He really doesn’t like seeing you helpless but it brings out something in him, a need to protect you as you wrap your body so feebly around his
The both of you stay in bed like this for just under two days, he goes over the top with blankets, hot water bottles, iced water, medicine, lots of affection and doesn’t let you do anything but in the long run it’s very beneficial as you’re up and running in no time
Nuada
Nuada knows you’re ill just before you start getting symptoms, he doesn’t really act on it hoping you’ll fight it off before it gets bad though he does keep an eye on you
He found you in the library pouring over information books looking quite off colour and out of it knowing you should get some rest. He had no idea how stubborn you were when it came to admitting you’re ill you sat there outright refusing there was anything wrong
Nuada knows he can make people bend at his will and quickly sets about charming you, he brushed his hands against yours slowly doing the things that drive you crazy, talking softly, trailing warm kisses up your neck and muttering my queen, my love until he knew he had you
Gently, he nuzzled his head into your hair comfortably twisting his body to meet yours. You loved the soft side of Nuada, it was ever so rare, and wrapped your arms around his shoulders, he took opportunity of this and hoisted you in his arms bridal style silencing your objections with a simple “hush”
He got an elemental to fetch you some elvish food full of healing properties, you claimed you weren’t tired and he should let you do what you needed to but he simply snuck an arm under your back and slid you at his side. Nuada is strong and held you through your attempts to leave graciously, you fell asleep within half an hour and remained that way for a good day
