“A present?” Paimon asked, confused and excited. Lumine straightened up, frowning at the box in her hand. It was no bigger than her palm. She turned it around from side to side, studying it closely. Albedo soon joined her, similarly puzzled.
“May I see it?” he asked, and Lumine passed it over to him. Albedo held it up above him, deep in thought, blue eyes already alight with the curiosity Lumine was so familiar with whenever there was a new mystery to ponder. After a moment, he spoke once more. “It should be safe to open, so…” He undid the ribbon, revealing a small, clear box. Inside the box was a single flower, similar to a lotus, but with shimmering petals that caught the light in a rainbow. It was beautiful, breathtaking, rare, and -
