The is an image of "a better future" generated with the Point-E text-to-3D model that produces 3D point clouds from text descriptions. it does not seem very helpful and i am afraid we will have to look elsewhere for solutions to our problems as uncertainty and fear of the future reigns. Technology itself will not fix our problems, or create a better world, but perhaps human imagination and hard work will in time make technology serve the good of the many many, instead of only profiting a few. If only we stop thinking we that substituting human agency and bias for digital determinism and bias. begin to make the digital realm more widely accessible, mundane and malleable/hackable rather than the current drive towards making technology seem awsome, revolutionary and spectacular.
