Smaugust day 14: Possum
Nothing much exciting has happened in the past few weeks since my first meeting with Xandra. Though I did go to the camp to collect a few more forest animals a couple of times. Abey was playing with a species of dragon I had never seen before, and some possum mimics I was supposed to pick up. She didn’t notice me at first, but when I did she smiled softly at me, and told me that Xandra had talked to her about my job in the camp. Informing me that she hasn’t found a job yet, and that my job sounded like a good job for her. I wasn’t opposed to this, but I didn’t know if I was allowed to being her to the farm to help feeding with the animals. I asked her about the dragon around her shoulders, approaching her first and taking a possum off her head. She backed away from me, I need to remember not to get to close to her. She told me it’s a special kind of dragon that Xandra had given her, to help with Anxiety. Kind of like an emotional support animal she says. I didn’t exactly know what that was but assumed it was a human thing and nodded. Xandra then came up to us and talked to us about Abey helping me care for the animals. So long story short I showed Abey around the farm, and what to do to help feed the animals. Currently I own 15 acres of land I found out, there are many acres that actually range into the forested area. It will be a good area to build a nice dome fence for the forest dwelling dragons. I can buy a good one for about 3 goats and a chicken. I’ll buy two for the forested area, they will be very helpful for me and Abey to keep the dragons contained. Speaking of dragons, the dog mimics I took in have been, worrying me to say the least… I’ll just have to lock the chickens and ducks up earlier then usual, or at least before I let the dogs out to the field. Heri has been getting along well with them though, she’s become a part of their pack by the looks of it, she is always very excited to play with them.
Ah yes catching up a bit more, and we get to see Abey! I told u she was important. She’s based off of the spiny tailed iguana if anyone’s interested. Don’t worry though, the story gets worse, we are in the rising action if anything right now. Or more in exposition? We are setting up the main characters, motives, and conflict. But we are yet to meet the villain, any guesses for who they may be?
at least help him a bit. he went to the kitchen and im not sure he knows how it works,,
You expect me to look him in the e y e s after t h a t-
Aw wait shit I don’t want him to ruin my kitchen-!
Beezy slides into the kitchen at top speed.

Jan Baptiste de Jonghe - View if the ruins of the abbey of Villers-la-Ville - 1834
Villers Abbey (abbaye de Villers) is an ancient Cistercian abbey located in the town of Villers-la-Ville, in the Walloon Brabant province of Wallonia (Belgium), one piece of the Wallonia's Major Heritage. Founded in 1146, the abbey was abandoned in 1796. Most of the site has since fallen into ruins.
In 1146, 12 Cistercian monks and three lay brothers from Clairvaux came to Villers in order to establish the abbey on land granted them by Gauthier de Marbais. After establishing several preliminary sites (Villers I and Villers II), work was finally undertaken in the 13th century to build the current site. The choir was constructed by 1217, the crypt by 1240, and the refectory by 1267. The church itself took 70 years to build and was completed by the end of the century.
During this period, the abbey reached the height of its fame and importance. Contemporary accounts suggest that roughly 100 monks and 300 lay brothers resided within its walls, although this is possibly an exaggeration. The lands attached to the abbey also expanded considerably, reaching some 100 km² of woods, fields, and pasturage.
Decline set in during the 16th century, tied to the larger troubles of the Low Countries. Spanish tercios, during the campaign of 1544, did considerable damage to the church and cloister, both of which were partially restored in 1587.
In the early 17th century, Crisóstomo Henríquez wrote the history of the abbey.
In the 17th and 18th centuries, the abbey's fortunes continued to diminish. The number of monks and the abbey's wealth dwindled, and it was finally abandoned in 1796 in the wake of the French Revolution.
Jan Baptiste de Jonghe or Jean-Baptiste de Jonghe (Kortrijk, 8 January 1785 – Schaerbeek, 14 October 1844) was a Belgian painter, draughtsman, etcher and lithographer. He is known for his Romantic landscapes with people, herds and ruins. In his graphic work he also made views of cities in the area of what is now Belgium and the Netherlands. He was an art professor at the Academy of Kortrijk and the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts.
