Audition results for my thesis animation! :D

For florence (main character): a-beautiful-start.tumblr.com For her friend: adoxographist.tumblr.com For angry girl: alexa (part of our local voice acting group) THANK YOU SO MUCH and CONGRATULATIONS!!! <3 <3 <3 it was a difficult decision to choose which of the submissions were most fitting, but you guys are my final pick! i chose this based on your tone of voice and how suited your voices were to the characters. everybody was awesome and i enjoyed listening to all your recordings! :> to a-beautiful-start, adoxographist, and alexa, please make sure to secure the best quality mic you can for recording, i would /really/ appreciate it a lot to have them clear and noiseless :'D i'm still working on it but hopefully i can send you the lines tomorrow. :> i may still contact people again for townspeople voices though bc there was just so much talent *u*

DANG IT why did i give "heave ho" as the main character's happy line sample?? heave ho isn't even a mining chant, it's for lifting up anchors or something OTL or maybe bc i was reminded of the 7 dwarves' "heigh ho" song instead i'm thinking of a fitting chant for the workers in the mine and all that is coming is "dig dig dig" hmm i'll have to really research my stuff wow anyway if you're one of the actors who i asked to record "heave ho", it's alright, since it's only as a sample audio anyway. :'D i'll just rewrite the script over properly before recording.

thesis updates

my professor in our thesis subject apparently changed the deadline for the rough animatics (storyboard +sound and timing) to this thursday, and im barely even content with how the storyboard flows  hmmm gotta work double time on this plus background studies and final character design sheets before thursday too ive experimented in toonboom and tvpaint last night for the animation style i want but im not getting it yet. gotta experiment more with this. -------ABOUT THE VOICES---------- more importantly, i've received a good number of samples from people auditioning for the voices :D im still waiting to get a response from most of you for sample line readings but so far it's going great *u* i think ill leave the auditions open for the female speaking roles until tomorrow night, 8/25/2013 10:00 pm philippine time :D after that i'll message people who got the role. goal is to finish with recording the voices before tuesday here in the philippines. :D (mic quality is very important and i'd love it if you get to use a nice mic! im not good with audio editing at all so any traces of noise would make things a bit difficult for me.) for the extra townspeople in my animation i may message some of the people who auditioned but didn't get main speaking roles for those :D i /do/ need male voices in there too so i'd love a heads up if anybody else was interested. maybe just 10 people or less? no need to audition for the extra voices, i just need a good variety of voices in there. i still need good mic quality though :D most probably only one liners are needed for this :D as soon as im done with the storyboard i will be able to finalize the dialogue too :> hopefully ill be done with that tomorrow and be able to get all the voices and sounds edited and ready for the animatic by wednesday.

I saw your post looking for Voice Actors. I'd love to help if I can. I have examples on my blog under "Voice Acting" or on my soundcloud of the same username. I have a pro grade mic that I used to record the last sample. Thanks! ~Griffin
