As I post this WIP, I can't help thinking how far I've come in the last year and a half when it comes to creativity. ⠀ ⠀ I always wanted to be an "artist", but I was most definitely a late bloomer in that department. I was always good with colors, crafting written works, styling...but illustrating my vision on paper was always a challenge.⠀ ⠀ Practice really *does* make perfect (or at least helps you flesh out your particular style). Ode to a Coke Zero

I don’t have anything but this caffeine addiction. Gets me up moving these days drives me to work plops me down in a chair insists me to stay there.

I lament no longer recalling why you were bad for me if there are carcinogens lurking in your bubbles or the bottle itself.

Round lunchtime, I reach for you sometimes only you and me and a slew of e-mails to lonely people I roll your cap across the keyboard.

Bored, I wonder why I tried so hard all nighters slurping you in college, learning Chaucer and genetics. Even at lunchtime there is no Chaucer or genetics.

I am your jittery pet, always. I must stay awake and solve my human math-a-matics. Must pace the hallway, upset sleepy-eyed cats, shuffle through the kitchen in slippers reach for another bottle-- I’ve got this I’ll solve this.
