Hello hi, just wanted to stop by and let you know, I see you. Your post with your cool skeleton bleach dye pants came on my dash and I said, "this nonbinary person is making cool shit!" And then I was like "hold on don't assume shit about people!" And then came to check to see if you listed your pronouns etc so as to not be rude, and had a moment of queer joy. Obvs I don't want to put labels in your mouth, if you don't id as nb that's awesome too. I just know it can often feel like a neverending battle for correct pronoun usage by strangers, so I'm hoping to spread some queer joy to you too.

Hey! I am indeed nonbinary, and while I tend not to focus too much on how other people choose to see me most of the time, it's definitely cool to hear that something about my queer wavelength resonated haha! Cheers for queer joy! ^u^

Keep your head up! Sure, it might be important to draw every day or practice or whatever to get better, but that doesn't mean you have to struggle or stress or do some big, difficult project every day. Let yourself doodle. Draw simple things. Things you like. Fall in love with the art again, and then start challenging and really learning and studying. You got this!!

Oh also, maybe it might help if you could see other artists' processes and WIPs.  I don't draw, but i love photography and I was astounded once when I saw a fave of mine's work without her custom photoshop filters applied.  Her raw photos were great, yeah, but nothing so much better than mine that it seemed unreachable.  You don't know how much work or struggle or redos other artists had to go through to get their final image.

Thank you for the advice :) I doodle all the time but should probably level up at some point, I have a feeling the whole 2017 was the year of the doodle xD But yeah, that’s a good advice, especially with wips but it’s hard to get over the impression people are much faster with creating their pieces. Nevertheless, THANK YOU! <3

honestly that’s so fair. in that case here is a fencing opinion for you: i don’t think defensive actions exist!!! framing ‘being on the defense’ as ‘waiting for your opponent to make an action you’ll respond to’ means that you’re letting your opponent control the action, and hoping you respond to it ‘correctly’. being ‘on the defense’ is still Your Action, you just are attempting to trick them into making a mistake so that you can take advantage of it. esp in right of way weapons, because they’re Looking for the chance to attack, and when someone attacks is often when they make the biggest mistakes and you get your shot, so give them the opportunity they want and then take over rather then letting them choose when to finish their action!! and other things that make complete sense

14. In what way has God blessed you recently?

I’m sure this question meant to ask something more along the lines of “in what way has God made you happy by giving you something nice recently” and unfortunately for the well-intentioned person who wrote that question, that is not the question I am going to answer.

God blesses me by convicting me of sin and allowing His truth and His Word to pierce my soul and unsettle me so deeply that my only natural response is to weep. I know in those moments that He is dealing with me as His child. God blesses me by offending me, because He is pointing out my pride, that He may tear it away. I am blessed when I go through trials and when I feel lonely and angry and when bitterness threatens to overwhelm me, because I am His in the midst of the shitstorm. 

“blessed” is not getting a free Starbucks drink or enjoying a nice dinner with a friend or getting a loan on a car or really any nice little “yay God” sugary feels. according to Jesus, blessed is what we are when we thirst for righteousness and when we mourn and when we are poor in spirit. 

because we will be filled. because we will be comforted. because the kingdom of heaven is ours.

also the death of Eli in 1 Samuel 4 warrants his own clip on “1000 Ways to Die” because literally the only reason he died was because he was too fat to survive falling off his chair. 

(ok that one’s not well known but it is pretty hilarious.) (right up there with Absalom’s death by vanity bc he couldn’t bear the thought of riding into battle without his frackin five-pound hair flowing in the wind. sorry Fabio but u gettin stabbed tonight [1] [2] )

unfortunately.

4. Have you ever changed for someone?

not very consciously. I did grow out my hair because my crush said it would look nice long, lol. apart from that, I think I just naturally shape myself a bit after the people I look up to. not like a forced thing.

24. Do you think love can last forever?

in terms of humans: the nature of the love and the way it presents itself may change over time, but in short- yes, with a lot of hard work and with a lot of help from the One who is love. because in general, humans are pretty bad at loving the way we should. God's love is always perfect, always complete, a bottomless well, and He must be our go-to if we want to love anybody properly.
