PSA: There's a movie coming out "Me Before You" about a guy who becomes disabled and wants assisted suicide, so to fight that his mom sets him up with a female caretaker They fall in love And because the book is a massive ableist pile of shit he still wants to die Because we really needed a new Hollywood movie that will end with disability trope number 4: Being disabled means that there's no reason to live anymore Fuck you Hollywood And fuck the author too. Even in the best possible scenario this will romance physical disability, and considering the ableist ending trope, it's probably going to deal with how much the main character struggles and not how In accessible the world is *i don't care if you like the authors or whatever, if you post with movie clips or otherwise support this problematic production I'm unfollowing.*
