A Thousand Oceans Wide ;; closed
Twirling through the ocean at top speed, Rubee swam as fast as she could to catch up to the boat she's been tailing for a few days now. Pirates, she rarely came across them, but when she did, she couldn't help but want to see what said humans were up to. A giggle escaped her lips as she finally caught up to the boat, her head popping out the top of the water, getting a breath of fresh air as she swam slowly by the boat's side, admiring how large it was and the handiwork on the sides of it. But it wasn't the boat that interested her.
From this angle, she could not see any humans though. This made her frown a bit. But she could be patient if she wanted to be. She kept her head above water, ducking down every so often in case one of the humans saw her. That wouldn't be good. She couldn't allow herself to be seen in this form, there were some rules that even Rubee wouldn't cross the line and break. Though she did know that humans had knowledge of her, or in general Siren's existences, but most humans considered Sirens to be myths. Fools.
Yes, humans can be foolish most of the time, but that's what makes them so interesting to Rubee. Watching how they communicate, how they treat each other, how they show affection for each other, it was really interesting to Rubee. What she found most interesting is how humans manage to mate with each other so casually, even when they don't have feelings or romantic interest for each other. It was all so appalling to her.
Enough of that, this time she was tailing these pirates. She had no plans to kill any of them right now, not while the sun was out. She was at her most powerful during the night, when everything was quiet and no other sounds but the gentle moving of the ocean could be heard. That is when she'll sing her song. For now, best to observe their movements.
