That masculinity is an artificial construct, separating itself off from the natural state of humanity.  Femininity and masculinity aren’t “in need of balancing”, masculinity just needs to stop pretending it’s separate and superior.

You had made a comment about being pissed off about the "anti-femininity" of the left..Well.. It's not bad that someone tries to make themselves look nice or what not,the issue is that the commodification of "beauty" itself has help led to social extremes for male/female separation and the alienation of many women/girls because they feel they constantly need more of this or that to be beautiful. By now most women I've met personally feel the need for some sort of cosmetics to be even acceptable

This comment is patronizing and shitty.  Yes, there are issues with patriarchal beauty standards, and monolithic beauty standards in general, but beauty products still aren’t evil.  We’ve been wearing makeup since primitive communism and will be wearing it when we achieve communism again, because cosmetics are something humans do (frankly men not wearing them nowadays is aberrant and unnatural and something that needs to be corrected)

Now, here’s my other problem with you, you’re not hearing the actual problem we’re having, the problem is that women who like “girly” stuff (like lipstick, and high heels, and sequins) are often dismissed as not serious enough, or too “consumeristic” or whatever bullshit excuse brocialist shitheads pull out of their asses this week, to be real leftists, and that is a fucking problem, and the other fucking problem is dudes trying to “educate” me on the problematic nature of patriarchal standards of beauty, because comrade, I’m older than you, and I’ve been doing this feminism shit longer than you and shockingly, despite my tiny lady brain, I am very very aware of how fucking shitty monolithic beauty standards are

Like what you're saying doesn't intersect with the conversation we're having about anti-femininity in leftism, and we're aware of it and have heard it before.

So, while I get that you’re well intentioned and basically good hearted, you really need to work on questioning some of the ideas about femininity and womanhood society has drummed into your head.

Also if you think there’s no misogyny on the left, think about all the most lauded revolutionaries and theorists? Now count the dudes and count the ladies.  Do you see why this is a problem?
