good little things that came out of this weekend

dad met my boyfriend and it wasn’t the disaster I thought it would be, I’m actually feeling cautiously optimistic on the front

we got to dance a lot and even slow dance to a couple songs

I got to see my family and socialize even tho it was a whirlwind of exhausted me afterwards

we walked around IKEA and had fun talking about things he could make himself or stuff we would like for house ideas no matter the size of the rooms and found lights for me and plant pots for him

and today before I left we got seedlings and a bamboo shoot, hopefully he’s got more of the green thumb gene that my sister has

right now the only thing I’m sad about is that I had to leave being close to him again, because even on days when I can’t express my own feelings well, just being able to get a hug or cuddle my guy makes me feel better and sometimes has gotten me out of my spiraling thoughts
