i just saw your benjamin bridgerton posts, he and edwina look so cute! if you want, could you please share some more content about them?

ooh okay my brain is all over the place and I'm blanking on a lot but here's the story of how they end up together!

Anthony & Edwina's wedding happens like it does in the show (I debated following book!canon but the drama is everything to me)

Edwina is with Mary, Anthony has just asked Benjamin to talk to Edwina so he's there, and then Charlotte shows up, the whole scene with George plays out etc

Afterwards, Charlotte looks at Edwina and asks if the wedding is off, Benjamin says not necessarily. He turns to Edwina, says that he has been falling in love with her since the very first time they danced, and he never said anything because he believed that marrying Anthony was what she wanted and he just wanted her to be happy

Which then turns into basically an impassioned speech about how much he adores her, she has become his dearest friend, he may not have Anthony's title but would do everything in his power to give her the life she dreamed of and to be a good husband to her. Benjamin is the poet of the family and it shows

He turns to Charlotte and says that he knows he isn't the husband she'd had planned for Edwina but with her blessing, it would be his greatest honour to marry her

(Edwina then asks for a moment of privacy to talk to Benjamin, then accepts his proposal once she truly believes that this is what he wants and not either out of guilt/to save her image or to cover for Anthony's screw up)

Who’s Benjamin’s fc? (Also pls tell me everything)

His fc is Timothee Chalamet in Little Women!! He's Benedict's twin brother, a disaster (disguised as distinguished) bisexual poet and all around sweetheart. He's the most emotionally competent of the family, very in tune with his feelings and very adept at communicating them. He dances with Edwina at her first ball and they get along very well and he's immediately smitten. He's all set to write beautiful (and dramatic) poetry for her and attempt to court her (even Kate likes him, he was very polite and asked to dance with her as well, and Lady Danbury is particularly fond of him) but then Anthony declares his intention to marry her. Benjamin immediately keeps his own feelings for her under wraps and instead throws himself into supporting his brother, despite how it breaks his heart to see Edwina falling for Anthony.

He and Kate actually become quite close at Aubrey Hall, where he also ends up even closer to Edwina, becoming her closest friend and confidante — to the point that, at her wedding, he's the person she wants to talk to as she tries to decide what to do. He tells her that his brother is a good man and would always try to do right by her, but that she owes it to herself to trust her own judgment and if she is not content with "duty and understanding but not love" then she should absolutely not settle for anything less than her every wish granted.

He's closest with Francesca out of his siblings, but is also very close with his brothers and has a soft spot for Hyacinth. I know that, like Colin, he did extensive travelling after university, but I haven't decided if he was travelling during season 1 or if he was there for that shitshow.

(I also know exactly how he and Edwina get together, and how they get married, but I'll keep that a secret unless anyone actually wants it spoiled!)

3-5 headcanons for Ben & Carla

1 - Ben, a total disaster in a kitchen, likes to sit on the counter and watch Carla cooking or baking. Which is hilarious bc you see this big, muscled boy kicking his feet and following every single movement his girl is doing bc she's amazing in everything she does (It's me, I'm Ben okay?)

2 - The first time they had a fight, Ben started crying in the middle of it because it was a shook for him feeling angry towards Carla and seeing Carla mad at him. It was not that deep, he just wasn't used to it (in general, he hates fighting, even just a little argument is a huge thing for him, unless the other person clearly deserves a lesson, but we're talking about Carla here ofc she doesn't)

3 - Ben and Carla adopted a stray cat after they went to live together and Ben kept saying that they should called him Philoctetes to keep the Hercules names tradition (Carla's golden doodle is Hercules and Ben's doberman is Hades). Not sure if Carla would be "absolutely not" or embrace completely the fun vibes lol

4 - Ben is terrified by needles, but always wanted tattoos so he asked Carla to come with him the first time and he hold her hand the whole time. Now everytime he gets a new one wants his girl to come with him and hold his hand.

5 - Ben would always give Carla his varsity jacket (or his jacket in general). First of all his girl cannot be cold, not on his watch, and second bc he thinks she's so cute when she wears it.

What their zodiac sign is and whether they fit the traits associated with it: He is a Capricorn but he doesn't feel like one? I mean, he is for sure hardworking, honest and loyal but all the organized/practical/analytical part is just a big no. My boy is a little silly dreamer, an hopeless romantic and a little positive idiot that always thinks the best of people. He is a little ambitious tho? Not in a negative way, he's just very "dream big or go home"

What emotion is the hardest for them to deal with: Loneliness

How physically affectionate they are: Very! The more he loves you, the more he will find every excuse to hug you.

A movie they could watch every day for the rest of their live: Before TRHGS he would have answered with Rocky Horror probably bc it used to be one of his favourite ever but after all the mess he can't even listen to the songs bc he will start getting sick and throw up. Now it's Hercules!

Are they neurodivergent in any way (autism, ADHD, mental illness, etc.)? If so, what do they have?: Never tought about this but realized he probably has anxiety. And maybe ADHD? Not sure tho (And develops a "minor" ed during canon. Minor just bc he mostly keeps it under control, but it's still a concern)

If they want any kids, and how many they’d want if they do: Yes absolutely but doesn't know how many yet. At least two because he's used to have sibilings and having an only child it would feel weird to him.

How they lost their first tooth: It just fell down, but he started crying and run to his mom worried that he would lose them all together and could not eat anymore.

What their walk-on song would be: Here Comes The Sun!! Bc he's a little ray of sunshine

If they prefer company or time alone when they’re upset: Definitely company!
