“The horse is a mirror to your soul.” – Buck Brannaman
who has had the biggest impact on your life?
My old ass folks. Can still remember their torn up bodies on the stretchers like it was yesterday. Pretty fucked, huh?
They taught me everything, cooked the best hush puppies and peas. Big ole daddy was a rancher who could throw a fucking mean hook and he made sure I learned exactly that. We spent long and peaceful nights together. Me, pops, mama, Kara and Grandpa Jack who we all miss like hell. It just doesn’t feel the same no more now.
What was growing up like for you?
Ugly. Try getting on a plane with the people who raised you your whole damn life and then coming down from the heap of five to two. Fatal crash, two hundred survivors out of Lord fucking knows how many. Lived in the system, found your brother picked first and only returning five years later ‘cause life was also shit for him. Been living like damn nomads ever since. He gets to lay out all night with the girls while I like to count the wallets to lift while they’re buzzed.
One helluva life, I suppose. But sure enough keeps us living;

Colt doesn’t want children. He knows there will always be people and things out to get him, and he doesn’t want to force a child into a life where they would constantly be moving from town to town with the threat of harm or death looming over them their entire life. There’s also the fact that he has no idea whether a child of his would be born with his abilities, and the possibility that they would just adds to the danger. But if it ever happens that he’s fathered a child, he will immediately start protecting and caring for both the child and its mother in any way possible.

In verses where Colt has parents, he takes after his mother in appearance, what with his tanned skin, dark hair, and dark eyes. But his personality is much more like his father.
Note:
Colts eyes will glow gold when he uses his powers.
Note:
So, Colt does not actually recognize the people who had possession of him as a gun. Except for the man who made him, Samuel Colt. Otherwise, folks like the Winchesters, Bela, or Crowley, he won’t recognize them straight off. He will, however, feel that they’re somewhat familiar to him for some reason.
In your eyes I see your desperate and in hunger Reclaim your future, your paths uncertain See this child it's raised in hate and in anger His eyes wide open, his rage so focused Torn asunder our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life Torn asunder our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life The single mother she is strained and she suffers She slaves away, her life in turmoil The homeless man had it all and now has nothing His spirit broken plagued from injustice Torn asunder our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life Torn asunder our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life We have the power make our lives what they ought to be Reconnect with our humanity Transcend to a higher place, accepting reality You are the key to the life you seek Torn asunder our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life Torn asunder our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life
