Caution - The Killers

Coming from a neglectful home, Daphne was the person who felt the wrath of her father. All she wanted was to get out and make her own life. The song tells the story about a girl who has decided to take a great risk, but also knowing it can go terribly wrong. For her it was to leave the etablished and privillaged pureblood life and views for a life where she could make her own decisions.

Their feelings towards the Battle of Hogwarts, or its aftermath.

Youth - Daughter

The song is about loss and how something like that can become a big part of someones life. Daphne often reflected on the meaningless loss of life during the war. How her views mirrored those who took those lives. “The Lovers that Went Wrong”. Was the regret of losing her first love, how the war tore them apart. After the war, she was out of the Greengrass household as soon as she could get herself a job. The war and the battle of Hogwarts haunted her for years afterwards. She took it upon herself to keep a group of young students safe and fought two Death Eaters by herself. That’s also the day she realised she was going to die one day and truly lost her innocense. She felt like she was one of the lucky ones who could walk away with her life intact.

In 2014 at the age of 34 Daphne became a widow. Her husband Pierre died a horrible death from illness. He was also 34, and died decades before his time. The song mirrors her wanting to keep Pierre alive for herself and their only child through the memories and stories of him. After he died she was in a dark place for a very long time, and it still hangs over her like a constant black cloud. She would beg him as he was dying to not leave her. The anger over his early death is something she will never shake, nor the scar of the open wound it left. It also reminds her of all those who died during the war who died before their time. Her regret for not listening to her premonition, that she tried to tell herself it was lying. Telling herself she could have prevented it.

Despite it having been years since he died, Daphne misses Pierre every second of every day. He can only be visited through memories and dreams now. Daphne holds onto the memories of when they were a happy family, and their daughter is the only thing that is left of him in this world. Some days she still cries as much as she did when he died, but she knows that life isn’t over just cause he isn’t in hers anymore. Life has to be lived despite it all, their daughter need her mother and perhaps she’ll find love in her life again. If she does, she’ll love him as much as she did when he was alive.

i just saw daphne fitz at the florence. don’t you think she looks like fola evans akingbola? anyway, she’s a twenty nine year old photographer, and she moved away, but came back three months ago to live with her parents for financial reasons. she did graduate in 2007. 

Hi! I’m Dove, and this is Daphne, and I’m just in general super excited about this group. Here’s a lil short breakdown of Daphne’s life in bullets -

She was put into foster care when she was very young, and when she was five, the Fitz’s, who were her foster parents, adopted her. Her family was very loving and supportive, but growing up there was nothing Daphne wanted more than to get the hell out of Padstow.

She was a good student, and worked very hard in school, but she wasn’t necessarily the “teacher’s pet” type. Daphne was more of the student who argued with the teacher, and got her fair share of detentions. She didn’t like school, but she did like learning, and she knew that she needed to get good grades and study if she wanted to get out of town.

After high school, she moved to Juneau, Alaska to major in marine biology at the University of Alaska. During college, she started getting into photography, specifically wildlife and nature photography. After graduation, she got a research job but quit to do freelance photography. She’s traveled all over the country and outside of it as well for her work.

Six months ago, she had her last job, and spent three months looking for more work before she ended up moving back to Padstow to live with her parents. She’s been doing some photography, but nothing she really enjoys, and not enough to get her own place.

Some potential connection ideas : Friends from high school, someone she had a kind of competitive relationship with (trying to be top of the class, that kind of thing), exes (I think Daphne probably only had one or  two relationships in high school, maybe someone she broke up with before she left for college and didn’t really contact after that), childhood friends, someone she had an antagonistic relationship with in school, and I’m definitely open to other ideas!

daphne was adopted by rich upper east side lesbians when she was ten. before she was ten, she lived in the boondocks of poughkeepsie in dutchess county, new york. her mom was an alcoholic and daphne was taken away from her. her mom was also in love with some dude (idk) who got her pregnant and then never showed up for the kid. the whole thing is actually kinda tragic but that's not fun so we go with ~*~ vibes ~*~

daphne is a self proclaimed commitmentphobe and nothing scares her more than being in a relationship. this should go well for her.

daphne is heavily inspired by space, astronomy, and all things celestial. her art highly reflects this. she also paints people's aura. bitch is intuitive af. she sobbed openly when she saw the new york botanical gardens exhibit of the immersive van gogh. he's the only man who can have rights.

daphne is pretty dry humor-wise and sarcastic. she tries really hard to be witty and it usually works for her. pretend she's funnier than me pls.

daphne is a gigantic nerd and loves d&d, museums, herstory, pokemon, gaming culture, etc.
