Dark’s past (retry)

So, my Dark has been alive since ancient Greece. He was engaged to be married, but was sent off to battle before the wedding. He died in battle, but was brought back and changed into a vampire. He went back to find his fiancé already married to someone else, so he runs away. Cut to thousands of years later, Dark has just moved to a new place and wants a fresh start. He decides to enroll in college under the name Damien. While there, he meets and befriends two other men named Mark and William. The three graduate and move on to their respective jobs, still remaining friends, until Mark’s wife runs off with William. Damien has no luck trying to console Mark, and eventually Mark withdraws. Over a year later, Damien gets an invitation to poker night at Markiplier manor. This is where things get weird. The plot progresses as usual, except the DA has a different role. Damien is the one who figures out that William is hiding something, but gets nothing when he confronts him. Celine, who is also a vampire and someone Damien regards as a sister, shows up soon after sensing something gone wrong at the manor. She and Damien, using the DA as a medium, try to contact Mark’s spirit, but Celine and the DA are both killed in the attempt by whatever malevolent spirit haunts the manor. Damien and William finally talk, but just as they’re starting to get somewhere, William finds that the detective has been keeping tabs on him. Damien follows the enraged William upstairs, trying to calm him, but both he and the detective get shot. Damien goes over the balcony and passes out when he hits the floor, but because he’s a vampire, he’s able to recover overnight. He wakes to find William on the edge of insanity, and William, seeing his friend rise from the dead, finally loses his mind. Unable to handle seeing William this way, Damien leaves, moving away and changing his name. He comes across William years later, but he’s called Wilford now and doesn’t recognize Dark at all. Dark finds out that Wilford is working with an up and coming youtuber named Mark, and upon doing a bit of digging, finds out that this Mark is actually his own descendant. Wilford tells Mark his story, but it’s a version twisted by his own insanity. Mark creates the “Darkiplier” persona based on Dark, and makes WKM as we know it, following Wilford’s version of the story.
