Jen really didnt mean to follow the rabbit, but really honestly, she wasnt having any fun at the wedding either
Being married off at 18, she wasnt ready to give up that tiny bit of freedom for a creepy old guy that just wanted some of her horrible parents fortune
SoâŚwhen a peculiar rabbit with a pocketwatch hopped by, she was curious
And of course, her clumsy self fell down into this enormous rabbit hole, her screams not even reaching a whisper level
Then, after eating a delicious cake and a very sweet drink, and growing and shrinking a ton, she was in a very weird world, full of talking flowers and caterpillars.
Yet now, she was running from living playing cards, and she had just tripped and fallen
He blinked at her, confused for a moment before remembering that she wasnât a native. Of course she didnât know how wrong she was. Not yet. Seeing her innocence, he could think only of how being around him would ruin it. The thought made him sick. But he still smiled back at her.
âThatâs very kind of you to say. Thank you.â
Jen beamed a soft, sweet smile. Once that could make anyones heart melt as she giggled softly
She then shyly went to him and gently tagged him
âWanna play tag?â She asked shyly
Dark looked back at her, looking surprised.
âTag? I havenât played since I was a child⌠Iâm not sure Iâd be any good at it.â
Jen tilted her head and giggled
âCmon! Itll b-be fun!â She said and bounced a bit, smiling sweetly as she looked at him with soft eyes
Dark found that he couldnât say no even if he wanted to. Even more surprising, he didnât want to. He looked down at his feet and nodded.
âVery well⌠I will play.â
Jen smiled and bounced happily, eyes soft and wide with joy as she cheered
âYay! Ok, try to catch meâ she squeaked, giggling as she took off fast, almost like a little bunny
Dark blinked, unsure at first what had happened. He quickly figured it out, however, and was soon chasing after her. He felt a little bit silly, and hoped no one saw him, but secretly he was having fun.
Jen giggled all the way as she raced through the garden, laughing and smiling as she quickly made her way through the grass
Dark allowed himself a small smile as he chased her, a distant memory he had buried long ago just barely resurfacing. A memory of playing, as a small child. It distracted him for just a moment, causing him to fall behind, but he was soon close on her heels again.
Jen squeaked with joy as she giggled and raced away from him, smiling and laughing as she almost looked like she was running in the sky
Dark was quickly catching up, grinning as he got closer. He reached out and leapt forward, attempting to tag her.
He did tag her, her squeaking in delight as she giggled more and rubbed her eyes as she slowed down
She then smiled sweetly and giggled more as she began chasing him
He grinned as he tagged her, taking a moment to celebrate before the chase began again. This time he ran from her, laughing as he managed to keep just out of reach.
Jen giggled with soft glee as she bounced over a treestump and some rocks, laughing happily as she tried to keep up with him
Dark weaved through a copse of trees, evading for as long as he could. It had been so long since he'd been so physically active, however, that he started running out of breath.
Anti had gotten off of work and was heading home. He seemed drained and slightly injured since one of the drunks decided it was a great idea to pick a fight with him in the alleyway. He has cuts, scratches, and some bullet wounds on him but it was nothing compared to what he had gotten over the years. He was so focused on the slash on his arm that he didn't realize he just ran into someone until he hit the ground. He shook his head and looked up, kinda out of it from his injures. "Oh...sorry about that." He muttered quietly as he slowly got up.
@ask-vampire-dark
"Yeah but its not that fun without some challenge." Anti chuckled and smiled slightly. "Plus its fun when they can run." He shrugged slightly and sighed. "Though I don't think I'm in shape to hunt yet."
"True. I do enjoy a good challenge every once in a while. And no, you're not. I don't think it will take long for you to heal, though. You'll be back to hunting in no time."
"It takes a week for me to heal properly, it sucks but its always been like that." Anti shrugged and chuckled slightly. "I think its because I'm a hybrid but I've always been a slow healer."
Dark tilted his head slightly, interested. He'd met hybrids of all kinds, but he still couldn't tell what kind Anti was.
"Really? I would never have guessed. You don't smell like a hybrid."
"Really? Well I'm part vampire and part demon...the uh...incubus...yeah..." Anti trailed off and looked at the wall because man that was one good looking wall. "I was born like this so can't really do anything about it." He let out a nervous chuckle, still staring at the wall like his life depended on it.
"Incubus? Interesting."
The older vampire tilted his head very slightly, observing his guest.
"You sound as if you're ashamed of it. Would you change it if you could?"
"Of course I wouldn't, I would just change how much it effects me is all." Anti shrugged and looked at Dark. "I do need to feed like an incubus sometimes and that's the only thing I would change." He glanced around and hummed slightly. "Though it is slightly fun in a way."
"Ah, I see." That made sense, he figured. He shifted slightly in the chair to get more comfortable.
"I do hope it doesn't become a problem while you're healing. That's not something I can help with."
"Don't worry won't happen twice, that would be weird." Anti chuckled and smiled. "I can show you how to uh..take souls if you want. It's really easy to learn and not that difficult to get the hang of." He let out a laugh and glanced around. "You wouldn't uh...happen to have some sort of ability in dark magic? That's kinda needed to actually get the soul."
Dark nodded.
"That would be helpful to both of us. I am proficient in the arcane arts, particularly the dark ones."
âPerfect! Its really simple and easy, as long as you are ok with killing someone.â Anti shrugged like it was no big deal. âI learned how to do it when I was around eight years old on how to take someoneâs soul so it might be easier for you to learn since you are very old. No offense!â
Dark raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
"Thank you, I think. I have no problem killing, so no need to worry about that."
âGood! This will be easier for both of us!â Anti smiled and hummed slightly. âUnless youâre not ok with someone kind of younger than you teaching you, wouldnât want to hurt anyoneâs ego.â He grinned and let out a small glitchy laugh that seemed to come from no where and everywhere. âIt will be fun, I promise.â
Dark shook his head, smiling.
"I don't mind at all. Personally, I think people should listen more to those younger than them. There's plenty a younger person can teach an older person."
Anti looked surprised and blinked a couple of times. "Huh, never thought I'd hear that coming from someone almost as old as time." He laughed slightly and grinned. "Once I'm completely healed and can go hunting I might be able to teach ya laddie. If ya fail I get to eat, if ya succeed I get to eat. I can't really lose in this really."
Dark snorted in laughter, shaking his head slightly. He couldn't even argue with the younger, being as old as he was.
"Sounds like a plan. In the meantime, you rest and recover. Let me know if there's anything you need."
Anti grinned when he got the laugh from Dark, seeming to be accomplished. He was mostly the jokester with everyone and he loved it when he got people laughing. "I can still walk and move around, I probably can't do much like shift into a bat like I usually do and I won't be able to hunt but I'm not that injured." He'd chuckle and smile slightly. "I mean I can just sit here and watch all the Twilight movies at once, would that be something you'd enjoy?" He'd tease since he knew almost everyone hated the series, plus Dark was a vampire so he probably hated it more.
Dark shook his head, smirking slightly.
"No, and I'm fairly certain you wouldn't, either. But feel free to roam around the mansion if you want. There's plenty to keep you entertained."
"I actually like the movies, they're stupid but funny at the same time." Anti admitted and smiled sheepishly. "Listen being forced to watch the movie over and over again makes it grow on you." He laughed slightly and let out a small hum. "But exploring would be better, I cant stand staying in one place for to long." He quickly got out of the bed and stretched slightly.
"Yes, I figured as much."
Dark chuckled softly. It was easy to tell that the other was the hyperactive type.
"Be careful not to strain yourself too much. You may go anywhere except for my room- you'll know which one it is- and if you need anything just give a holler."
