Dex [ Dexter Julian Gracen ]
dex is a twenty four years old and a freelance photographer. he is originally from new york were he was born and raised until he was seventeen. at the age of seventeen he deicide to move out. his father is a famous ceo in new york so the family is loaded with money so dex has never had any problem with it.
when he was ten years old his family of then four left to have a nice family weekends in a hut. it did not end up being a happy time. his father found the hut too cold and decided to put on wood in the old fireplace. ––– it was late and the kids had gone to bed, the man forgot to secure the place before going to bed himself so in the middle of the night the hut started to burn and the family got a rude awakening. dex’s youngest brother was so hurt that he did not make it and at the age of ten years old dex lost his little brother; age eight.
dex’s mother never said it but they all could feel that she blamed her husband for what happened to her youngest boy. she loved them both equally but she truly never became the same. they started fighting a lot, and the result of that was for dex to move out when he was seventeen because he did not handle it. because of his father always giving him all he wanted and needed money wasn’t an issue.
it didn’t take long though until his father found out that dex never really wanted to walk in his father’s shoes. he wished to be free and not be someone who needed to put on a suit and tie everyday for work. it just wasn’t the job or life he wanted. dex ended up getting a degree in photography resulting in his freelance job.
his real name is dexter but most people don’t know this. so unless we have said so before hand your character would not know most likely.
dex has one dog named poseidon and a rabbit he named luna because he loved the harry potter books
he has a shit load of money because of his father and mother and after they die he will even get more.
he moved away from the big upper east side place in new york because he wanted to get some normality in his life.
in new york he was the rich kid who lost his brother because even so long after people still talked about it in new york
dex talks to his mother on the phone at least once a week, sometimes twice because he just wants to make sure everything is fine.
his father however has just made himself a big pile or work to not have time for much else.
