Dexter, affectionately known as Dex is the only child of same-sex parents. The decision to have a child was always a sure choice for his dads, the two had a strong and loving relationship and knew they wanted a child to complete their family. Dexter was born via surrogate by a close friend of his dad's. He has a positive relationship with his biological mother, although she is more like an aunt to him. He is also the biological child of one of his dads.

Dex’s grew up in Hexmore and he had a warm and loving childhood home. His parents were a lawyer and an art teacher and the family had a comfortable lifestyle. Growing up, Dex was always full of life, he was climbing things, playing sports and messing around with the guitar. His parents usually spoilt him which hasn’t changed into his adult life. If he wanted guitar lessons he got them, if he wanted swimming lesson, he got them too. However, Dex grew up surrounded by love and he is known to be a loveable and caring young man.

During school, he often messed around, even without meaning to. Though with his cheeky smile and soft personality, he could usually talk his way out of most things. However, he was a smart kid and his dads pushed him to stay on top of his work. His slightly reckless personality only grew throughout high school, as did his love for music. He joined a band with his friends, he can play guitar, piano and drums. Dexter worked hard in school, even if he wasn’t always considered the brightest. He proved everyone wrong.

Dexter had always loved animals and he found a passion for science. He studied hard every night, volunteered at the animal shelter and he secured a place at university in Chicago. He enjoyed being not too far from home and studied veterinary medicine. During college, he continued to do local performances with his band which helped him to stay out of trouble most of the time. Although it was sad working with sick animals at times, his caring and empathetic personality got him through.

The job in his hometown was not the one he had been looking for, but everything seemed to fall into place when an older resident retired and offered him the job. He could stay close to his family and friends while doing something he loved and it felt like the perfect opportunity.

He is now 31 years old and he is still a little reckless. He still likes to be busy when he's not working, camping with his friends, playing music or just being outside. He’s a dog lover and when he’s not working, gaming or playing with his band, he’ll be out walking his dog. Hendrix Nardelli, affectionately known as Dex is the youngest child of same-sex male couple Nico and Adrian Nardelli. The decision to have a child was always a definite choice for his parents and while gay marriage was not legalised for some time, the two had a strong, committed relationship and knew that they wanted children to complete their family. Like his older sister Sunny, he was born via surrogate. The two have different mothers and a different father’s DNA so they are not biological siblings but they are just as close as any blood siblings and he loves her just the same.

Dex’s grew up in Merrock and he had a warm and loving home environment. Nico is a prominent civil rights lawyer and Adrian is a curator at a local art museum, meaning the family had a comfortable lifestyle. Growing up, Dex was always full of life and from a young age, he was climbing things, playing sports, messing around with instruments and building things with his hands. He liked to be on the go and he liked to be busy, he had so much energy and his parents usually gave him what he wanted. He was known as the baby of the family which hasn’t changed into his adult life. If he wanted guitar lessons he got them, if he wanted to play the drums, he got them too. Despite being a little hyper, he is known to be a loveable person who has always loved being around people.

Throughout school, he liked to mess around, though with his cheeky little smile, he often got away with most things. He was always getting himself in trouble over silly little things, like doodling in his book or losing concentration in class. He doesn’t see his birth mom and this plays into his dads almost babying him. His dads have supported him through every phase of his life, never denying him anything that he really needed or wanted.
