What is JL-Watchtower?
𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭
Months ago, the idea of this blog first came from an anonymous ask on this Wonder Woman blog. I still can’t fully put into words how amazed and shocked I was to be tagged by that anon, especially on an ask sent to a blog I hadn’t even interacted with yet. To be thought of or mentioned outside of my own little circle meant more than I think I can properly explain. I felt incredibly honored then, and I still do now.
After hearing the suggestion, the concept of a shared Justice League blog would not leave my brain. The potential to create something collaborative, creative, and genuinely fun with all of you was too compelling to ignore. Thus, I took the idea and tentatively made a poll asking whether this is something people wanted. So here I am, making the bones of what’s sure to become a testament to collaboration and expression, but that can only happen with your help.
The concept of this plot is that this is the League's connection to the public. The League's backstory will be described here and will depend on who all joins and what the members brainstorm together.
Anons are encouraged to ask questions, comment on ongoing plots/events, and react to Justice League member interactions. Make sure to read the rules below, as some of them pertain to anons and readers as well as members.

Communication, community, and creativity are the pillars of this blog. The 3 C’s, if you will, haha.
Nothing will happen plot-wise without first discussing it as a group. This is not me dragging everyone through a storyline I created where what I say goes. My role here is mainly to help organize, keep things running smoothly, make sure no one is at each other’s throats, and ensure everyone has the chance to use their voice. Every member here will have the opportunity to contribute to whatever plot or story arc the blog is going through. You’re never going to be judged here for your ideas and thoughts. No one is yucking another person’s yum.
The way plots and such will be chosen is through democracy. They will be discussed thoroughly together, voted on, then passed or vetoed based on the results. Afterwards, a post will be made, likely connected to the bulletin, explaining the direction the story is taking and how it’ll affect the way members will interact with anons and each other. Posts like this will also be peer-reviewed before publishing so that everyone involved is comfortable with the direction being presented.
The selective nature of this community is not scary, I promise. Plotlines and events coming out of this blog will be restricted to only accepted Justice League members. Members are expected to actively interact with each other. You are, of course, allowed to roleplay with blogs outside of the community- I mean, who am I to dictate and limit your actions?? Even between members, separate plots outside of the community are also allowed. You do you.
However, if someone joins the group and only ever writes outside plots while never interacting with the community, contributing to group events, or engaging with the shared blog, then we may have to discuss whether this is the right space for them. If your activity is going to be low or on a hiatus, please let us know. I assure you that your health and wellness are a priority here.
The way threads will work here is turn-based. For major, all-leaguer events, there will be a master starter and smaller, sectioned-off areas or situations for individual parts. For example, if there is an alien invasion, the main starter may describe what is happening, what the League knows about the aliens, what everyone was doing before the event began, and where the story starts. Beneath that, there may be separate thread sections for members at the Watchtower, members rescuing civilians, members fighting the aliens directly, and so on. We will all be talking about what's going on, preferably on a Discord server or a Tumblr community, so that no one is lost. For each part, members will choose where they are having their character be. When it is your turn to reply, after you've written your response, you will tag the next person.
Starters and plots between a few members or a pair will be discussed thoroughly before proceeding with them. For all starters connected to this blog and its members, you are expected to submit them to this blog. Those involved will be tagged.
All asks will be shown to the group. If a Discord server is made, there will be a category for asks and forums for each member and one for the group as a whole. If we use a Tumblr community instead, I will make a post and tag the relevant mun if the ask is directed toward a specific character. You are under no obligation to answer every ask directed to your character. If the ask violates the rules of the blog or the boundaries of the specific mun, it will simply be deleted.

I. Age requirements / comfort level
This group is currently 16+ for muns. Please be honest about your age range in your application. This is for everyone’s comfort and safety.
II. Content limits and ratings
Mature themes may appear in plots, including violence, injury, trauma, grief, and other superhero-related dangers. All sensitive content must be discussed beforehand and tagged appropriately. Triggering content will use #tw: *insert trigger* i.e #sugesstive.
III. Shipping
Shipping is allowed only with communication and consent between all involved muns. Please do not force ships, assume romantic history, or pressure another member into a dynamic. Ships between an adult mun's character and a minor mun's character are not permitted.
IV. Character control / godmodding
Do not control another person’s character without permission. This includes thoughts, reactions, injuries, powers, movements, or major decisions. In group events, discuss major actions beforehand so everyone has room to respond.
V. Power scaling and major consequences
Major consequences must be discussed and approved before being written. This includes character death, permanent injury, large-scale destruction, betrayal plots, possession/mind control, or anything that would heavily affect the whole group.
VI. Duplicates / variants / alternate versions
Duplicates, variants, and alternate versions are not permitted at this time.
VII. Anon / reader rules
Anons may ask questions, react to plots, comment on unserious, non-literate interactions, and send prompts. However, harassment, guilt-tripping, sexual comments toward characters/muns, repeated boundary-pushing, or attempts to control the plot will be deleted. Magic anons are permitted, but will not affect the actual plot and events of the blog.
VIII. OOC conflict / communication
If there is an issue between members, please bring it to the me privately instead of escalating publicly. Miscommunications happen, but harassment, vagueposting, dogpiling, or bringing private conflict onto the dash will not be tolerated.
IX. Leaving / inactivity
If you need to leave the group, go on hiatus, or drop a character, please let me know. Life happens; everyone completely understands. If you leave and decide to come back later, you will need to reapply for your character or a new one.
X. Application/acceptance expectations
Applications are not first-come, first-served. Acceptance is based on group fit, communication, character understanding, and whether the mun seems comfortable participating in a collaborative space. Questions regarding acceptance are listed under FAQs and linked on the application forum post.
XI. Non-Negotiables
No AI-generated roleplay replies. No bigots. No exceptions. This is an LGBTQ+ friendly, anti-racist, anti-fascist space. MAGA supporters, transphobes, homophobes, racists, Nazis, xenophobes, ableists, antisemites, Islamophobes, and anyone who defends bigotry are not welcome here. This is not up for debate, and this is not a space where anyone will be asked to “hear both sides” when it comes to someone else’s humanity. AI-generated replies, starters, asks, applications, and character writing are not allowed. This group is about human creativity, collaboration, and personal interpretation. We are here to write with each other, not with chatbots. If it becomes clear that someone is regularly using AI to generate their replies, they may be removed from the group.
