Poketrainer!Eri’s Pokemon 'Companions’

Eri’s team (to which she actually refers to as her friends), are all Pokemon who decided to accompany her rather than her ‘capturing’ them. The order from top to bottom is the chronological order in which she obtains them, and each of them sort of holds a particular purpose in being with her.

みみ (Mimi) (Mimikyu)

Male || Lv: 50 || Nature: Quiet || Ability: Disguise

Eri’s very first Pokemon. Used to wander alone along the streets fighting other wild Pokemon in hopes of being strong enough for Trainers to give it some recognition. Rather than just simple recognition, though, Mimi was able to find someone who loves him for what he is and will do whatever it takes to protect this child they’ve imprinted on.

Mimi just so happens to be Eri’s default cuddle-bug Pokemon. He lets her hug and carry him everywhere.

はな (Hana) (Comfey)

Female || Lv. 10 || Nature: Gentle || Ability: Triage

One of the two who acts as Eri’s therapy Pokemon, the other being Kyuu. Hana is almost always found roosting on top of Eri’s head acting like a flower crown, to which the child certainly allows as her presence makes her time awake rather soothing. This Pokemon was introduced to Eri by one of her trusted nurses back in the hospital, who sometimes asks if they could borrow Hana in order to help other child patients relax.

Hana and Yurui are close as they both aim to help Eri feel as comfortable as possible.

こごえ (Kogoe) (Ralts)

Female || Lv: 15 || Nature: Modest || Ability: Telepathy

Eri’s younger sibling-figure. Despite how she usually displays herself in a modest image, this Pokemon also happens to be wary and protective of Eri’s well-being. Any signs of danger will either have Kogoe teleporting the two of them away, or using Pain Split in hopes of lessening whatever suffering Eri is inflicted with. 

Kogoe also often uses Pain Split when Eri suffers from night terrors.

Kogoe met Eri when the both of them were attempting to escape from their respective enemies while wandering about in the street. This Pokemon also happens to communicate Eri via Telepathy, and sometimes acts as her speaker when Eri isn’t comfortable with speaking up.

きゅう (Kyuu) (Cutiefly)

Male || Lv: 15 || Nature: Timid || Ability: Shield Dust

One of the two who acts as Eri’s therapy Pokemon, the other being Hana. Kyuu also happens to be Eri’s trusty mail carrier. He enjoys bringing deliveries back to Eri, as well as wandering around to find flowers to return with when empty-handed.

Kyuu is very attracted to the aura Eri contained within, which is why he’s almost always able to find her whereabouts due to how much her aura has imprinted on him.

ゆるい (Yurui) (Espurr)

Male || Lv: 25 || Nature: Bashful || Ability: Keen Eye

Eri’s ‘dream catcher’, so to speak. Yurui was introduced to Eri by a psychologist after learning about her frequent nightmares. Of all the patients Yurui has been introduced to, Eri was the only one who wasn’t intimidated by his piercing gaze. Because of this, he decided to stick with Eri rather than any other patient.

Yurui is very useful in peering into Eri’s dreams through his Psychic and Sleep Talk moves.

えりゅう (Eryuu) (Dragonite)

Female || Lv. a whopping 100 || Nature: Gentle || Ability: Inner Focus

The last Pokemon to join Eri’s group of companions who acts as her guardian figure. This Dragonite found Eri in the middle of a trip with Midoriya and company when she was separated and lost from the group during a storm. Having become attached to her, Eryuu created a special bond with Eri by letting her hold onto her King’s Rock and is very protective of the child. Eri gave her the name Eryuu as the Dragonite reminded her of her plush dragon toy.

Due to her size, Eryuu isn’t always able to be by Eri’s side, but will often be found flying nearby as though watching over her from a distance.
