Esme has decided that since many things we eat (meat (beef), meat (chicken), meat (eggs),meat (cheese), etc) are delicious, apparently everything we eat must be so. recently added to the list meat (ritz crackers), meat (tortilla chips) - she gets a few chips, scaled down to her size, so bits and pieces perhaps 4mm on a side, so don't get all concerned about her eating terrible things (what's in your menu btw?)

unfortunately through she only occasionally gets any of the above treats i suspect she holds back from eating her wet food hoping for treats; cats like many animals gradually lose sense of taste as they age and among other reasons gradually lose body mass - she used to be stocky like Misu (who is much younger) and the same ~8½# but now she's barely 6½# and that concerns me though that i've had her extensively checked out - no signs of illness, just 15+ year old cat getting... well actually just people don't see a thin cat because they don't know her 10 years ago. she's fine, i guess.
