forever in disbelief
@stumblngrumbl
typical tumblr of people, cats, places, ideas and foods. Mostly cats tbh. class traitor. I check all follows, and if you're a spam, porn-heavy or empty blog, i'll block, probably after reporting a bunch of your posts. There's enough real hurt and abuse in the real world, we don't need to imitate it - and remember often life imitates art - I avoid it irl and definitely here - older than most vampires don't ask (yes over 21 lol) - if I comment on one of your posts trust me I'm not arguing unless it's obvious usually I'm just adding more context if you send me an ask for money i'll report your account - don't do it
Copy-paste of my blog header since nobody reads those, for pinned post, as if anyone will actually read it here:

FYI i soft-block suspected bot blogs (ie not completely obvious, since those get a report and a block). If you actually want to follow people put something in your blog that makes it look like you may be interested in what they post about and try again.
running mostly on queue; while i'm almost always on here, you can't actually assume that just because you recently saw a new post!
i’m not even kidding, until i was like nine or ten years old, i thought the chickenpox was one of those imaginary diseases people used to tell us about to scare us into washing our hands and staying away from sick people. i don’t know a single person around my age who has ever had chickenpox
i have no recollection of having chicken pox, and there are no scars (which doesn't rule it out); same with my sister who is two years older. out mother isn't sure but she has a... shall we say "flexible", view of the past so isn't reliable
however, i got shingles (at a somewhat unusually early age! interestingly enough, two years after my sister did, making us the same age when we got early shingles? bizarre) so i must have had it
i strongly encourage everyone to consult with a doctor and see if you should get the chicken pox vaccine (getting c.p. as an adult can be terrible) and/or the shingles vaccine (you do. not. want. to get shingles. no.)
frankly a lot of the unethical fertility complex shit is fueled by like demonic levels of entitlement and narcissism. imagine feeling that you’re owed biological children so strongly that you literally believe you’re entitled to rent a woman’s body like it’s a storage unit. henry the eighth coded behavior
you were almost turned into a vampire, but before you could be fully turned, the vampire was staked. This left you with a vampire weakness, while still being human.
Spin the wheel to find out your weakness!
How much does this effect you?
Nothing changes
It's inconvenient but I can deal with jty
It will be hard to adjust but I'll figure it out
I don't know if I'll be able to live like this
Maybe I can find another vampire to finish the turning?
I might just kill myself
Results/other
Remaining time: 2 days 5 hours
thanks @theemmjay for submitting this poll idea!! Seriously it's such a cool concept I love it so much
Congratulations to the advocates & lawmakers who made it happen
Jessica Valenti at Abortion, Every Day:
Okay, I promised I wouldn’t work on my vacation, but this news was too good not to share: Massachusetts just legalized abortion throughout pregnancy, becoming the 10th state to allow abortion after 24 weeks.1
At a bill signing ceremony today, Gov. Maura Healey said, “We believe that health care decisions should be made between women and families and their doctors, not politicians.”
Until now, abortion later in pregnancy was only permitted to protect the patient’s life or health, or because of a grave fetal diagnosis. The Prioritizing Patient Access to Care Act changes Massachusetts law to allow abortion after 24 weeks “when based upon the professional judgement of the physician.”
“It comes down to a simple, but powerful conviction,” bill sponsor Rep. Christine Barber said. “Decisions about abortion care must remain between a patient and their provider. No one else.”
Barber said she was inspired to introduce the legislation after hearing from patients who were forced to leave the state for abortion care. Kate Dineen, for example, had to travel to Maryland after learning her son suffered a massive stroke in utero. As devastating as her diagnosis was, it didn’t fit the narrow legal requirements for abortion in Massachusetts.
“I am profoundly grateful that our state leaders are righting this wrong once and for all,” Dineen said today.
I wish women didn’t have to relive their most traumatic moments to create legislative change, but I’m so awed by those willing to do so—all in the hope it might save another woman from similar suffering.
Something that’s not getting nearly enough attention: the legislation also clears the way for clinic-based care after 24 weeks—it struck down Massachusetts’ requirement that abortions later in pregnancy be performed in hospitals. That’s a big deal!
Massachusetts just became the 10th state to legalize post-fetal viability abortions, permitting abortions after 24 weeks “when based upon the professional judgement of the physician.”
Right-wing and anti-abortion media are running with the inflammatory framing that the commonwealth legalized “abortion up until birth.”

currently biding my time waiting to see if i get food poisoning from the brie i just ate
somehow we came back from the store some time ago with two large wedges of brie and so i froze one
needless to say it looked a bit funky coming out of the freezer and i'm not entirely certain that the package wasn't compromised
but
it smells good. i cut off the outside like a heathen because it doesn't look good but the inside is... good. very ripe to be certain but it doesn't seem bad at all so
i smeared a bunch on some bread and ate it
and now i wait to see if things stay normal or go south
Hey. If people aren't aware, Microsoft admitted they know who you and where you are at all times and will give your info to the police.
They have a Global Device Identifier (GDID) Tracker that functions as a fingerprint for your PC that can surpass VPNs, proxy servers and countries. Although it can't survive a clean reinstall of Windows (it can survive updates), because Microsoft forces you to go to the internet and log in into a Microsoft account, they will be able to get to you.
Microsoft kept it secret and it was only found out when the FBI tracked a hacker thanks to the information Microsoft gave them.
You should be paying attention to this, and possibly consider moving away from Windows. If a government, especially the US government, doesn't like you for some reason, this could be seriously concerning.
This article specifically notes:
For journalism, activism, or domestic abuse situations, skip Windows and use Linux routed through Tor instead of a commercial VPN. A GDID doesn’t care which VPN you use, only that it’s still the same Windows installation.
GDID is the persistent Windows ID that helped FBI trace a Scattered Spider hacker despite VPNs. Here's how it works and how to limit it.
Other important quotes:
What has researchers uneasy is everything else the case reveals. Costin Raiu, a well-known malware researcher, asked on the Three Buddy Problem podcast how much of this exists on other platforms, and whether it is linked more permanently to hardware. Matthew Hickey, another security researcher, called Windows “surveillance software”.
Two things back that up:
There’s no consent screen. A GDID gets assigned when you sign into a Microsoft Account. Apple’s advertising identifier needs an App Tracking Transparency prompt and a visible reset; Android’s works the same way. GDID has neither, and a Windows reinstall only gets you a new number Microsoft can still get back to the same account.
Then there’s activation. Massgrave, the group behind Microsoft Activation Scripts, notes that Windows setup sends hardware info to Microsoft and gets identifiers back, the same tokens later used for Store access and licensing: “It’s impossible to prevent Windows from getting a GDID without breaking activation and UWP app[s].” Anyone who lost a license after swapping a motherboard has already met a smaller version of this.
Here's the complaint filed to the court, the primary source for the case mentioned in the article. You can find mentions of GDID on page 30 of the document or 34 of the PDF.
