I know it’s a horribly overused song, but this is the first song I ever reblogged about Isarley, on my old Isabella blog. It will always make me think of these two, and Isa’s original gay panic.at a party (admittedly, I can’t remember which party, but I remember that amazing thread.) I can’t hear this song without thinking of my precious girls!

Isabella loves old music, and this song encapsulates her feelings for Harley perfectly. When she’s in her gayer moments, she accepts that she feels a kind of love for Harls, different and separate to what she feels for Edward. As she’s healed from the trauma of the farmhouse, she has come to accept that she does love Harls, and she’s really tackling her internalised homophobia.

And I’m back at it with my grossly overused and cliche songs! But seriously, this song just sums up Isabella’s feelings for Harley to a T. Isa thought she would never be able to fall in love with anyone besides Edward, or feel anything remotely like what she feels for him. But Harley is proof that she can. And, as she said herself, “it’s not all women, it’s just Harley.” Harley is the exception to everything -- Isabella’s heterosexual, Isabella’s Ed-sexuality, and Isabella’s inability to love in a healthy way.

Because she’s a secret mum, Isabella has to have this song as someone’s ringtone at any given time, and at the moment, it’s Harley’s designated ringtone, because she’s very fond of Harls right now and, as the lyrics say, she wouldn’t mind her bae calling her any time.
