Background:
Jamison is the only child of a single mother, Caroline Faraday. He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and played football throughout high school. Once graduated he enlisted in the Navy, later going through SEAL training and meeting his best friend, Jacob Thomas. He completed many missions before finally retiring from the Navy, choosing to work for NCIS once he spent some time traveling and making sure Andie was settled.
He was over the moon the day Jacob asked him to be godfather to his little girl, promising to protect and teach her and to take care of her should anything happen to Jacob and his wife Clarissa. Sadly, something did happen and he was pulled from a mission and put on emergency leave after the accident that killed them. He stayed with Andie while she was in the hospital and helped her through her extensive physical therapy and surgeries due to her injuries.
Once Andie was back on her feet and settled with her grandparents, Jamison returned to active duty, but only because Andie insisted on it, saying that she didn’t want him to change his career just because of her, not when she’d be okay at her grandparents farm while he went off to save the world. So they made an agreement. He’d stay in the service until she graduated from college and then he’d retire.
So, when his goddaughter graduated with her bachelor’s degree from NYU, Jamison retired from the Navy. He took a job at NCIS, starting on the Cold Case unit before working his way up to being lead field agent on a team that conducts classified investigations.
