surprisingly, nothing in particular at the moment. maybe it’s because i’ve been listening to the same 7 songs on repeat for nearly three hours now... (morning edit: it ended up being the same 7 songs on repeat for four hours :D)

last movie you watched:

(i’m not going to count your name as i mentioned it in my last tag game) the last movie i watched on my own was in this corner of the world. i wanted to rewatch it as it’s one of my favourite films.

last show you binged:

(i’m also not going to count meteor garden as i mentioned it in my last tag game) the last shows i binged by myself were crime scene: the vanishing at the cecil hotel and puella magi madoka magica (i can’t remember which one i watched more recently! that’s why i’m including both.)

mid-december, 2020; it was during my winter break between semesters!

it was the name and number of the caller id who called me twice in a row... (i’m not going to say that here for obvious privacy reasons, lmao)

why i chose my url:

it had to do with a (slight) rebranding when i began posting my teacup collection! “cha” or 茶 is tea in mandarin (i’m half-chinese), and “lan” or 兰 is part of my name (i nearly went with “lu-cha-lan” [green tea lan] for the alliteration, but i didn’t want that many dashes, lol) cha-lan can also be a play on my full chinese name, kalan!

how many people are you following: 

at the moment, it’s 72 users.

how many followers do you have:

more than i expected to have nearly 3 months after posting my first fic! i actually recently hit a milestone last month that i’m really grateful for <3 a ginormous thank you to everyone who’s been with me thus far!

average hours of sleep:

on average, i’d say about 7-8. although sometimes i can sleep anywhere from 5 hours or 9-10 depending on how tired i am.

lucky number:

122 (not sure if it’s actually lucky; it’s just my favourite!)

instruments:

i used to play the violin for about 6 years! more recently, i’ve been teaching myself songs on the piano (for... wait, it’s been roughly five years already?? i guess that’s the last time i played the violin too, then </3)

what i’m currently wearing:

very baggy sweatpants, my college sweater, and fuzzy socks! (very classy, i know)

dream job:

that bts staff member who got to rub hobi’s tummy in that one behind the scenes video... can’t remember specifically what video it was, but that clearly hasn’t left my mind. (morning edit: found it. yep, that’s my dream job.)

dream trip:

honestly? right now, it would be to the gulf islands (here in british columbia) to visit my grandma. i meant to see her last august for her birthday, but there was a covid outbreak in a city near me, which prevented the trip from happening. (morning edit: or paris to eat all the crepes.)

favourite food:

i have too many! my go-to answers are either sushi or my grandma’s cooking! i really like pizza, too ^^ and fruits and vegetables! (morning edit: french crepes, too.)

favourite song:

at the moment? that would be spell by niki!

top three fictional universes you’d like to live in:

i recently rewatched puella magi madoka magica and was reminded how much i adore that anime, so that’s my first choice, for sure. as for the other two universes, i know my 13-year-old self would practically scream lord of the rings. and lastly, maybe ponyo? just a studio ghibli universe, in general, but i’ve been fixated on ponyo’s universe lately.

How long have you been playing the Sims? I had  been playing since the sims 1 and I got every sims 2 expansion/stuff pack at release, always super excited. I was never invovled in the community or CC stuff, I didn’t even know there WAS one outside of MTS. I stopped playing but when I discovered the actual community, I started playing again and more intensely. I take breaks here and there but it’s always in the back of my head and I always come back. 

How long have you been a Simblr, and why did you become one? I don’t remember but it’s been years, since I remember having a simblr back when I was living with my dad and I remember playing/making CC in the homeless shelter lol. I’ve deleted and remade alot. I try to keep my downloads up though. 

What type of Simblr are you? The one that never posts or doesn’t post anything of value, lol. But uh, Historical I guess? I wanna remake my victorian hood really bad lol.

Which generation of Sims do you primarily play? TS2. Sometimes I play TS4 but I have a separate tumblr for that and It doesn’t really hold a candle to TS2 for me.

my ult groups are seventeen and bts (thanks for doing two groups, luna, otherwise I wouldn’t have thought to do that lol).

1. who was your first bias

svt: soonyoung, jihoon, and minghao were my initial top three (however, seungcheol and seokmin were the first two who caught my eye visually-only, but they *spoiler* didn’t make my bias list until later on).

bts: jungkook was my first bias ever. i thought it was so cool how young he was to have achieved all that they have.

2. who is your bias now?

svt: uhh, now i have six biases that constantly rotate for the #1 position. in the order in which they were added to this new list: minghao, chan, joshua, seungcheol, seungkwan, and seokmin. (currently, i think seok has the top spot, but you didn’t hear it from me.)

bts: jung hoseok. that is all; thank you for coming to my ted talk. but no, hobi is my one and only ultimate bias out of all of the groups i listen to.

3. what is the first mv you watched by them?

svt: i think it was my my? i know, very recent. yes, i haven’t actually been listening to seventeen for very long; i became a carat because of the heng:garae album in 2020. the choreography version of the left & right mv specifically made me want to learn more about the group.

bts: technically, it was the mv for dope back in 2015 through a friend in high school. although, it took me four years after that to actively decide to listen to them on my own. i would consider fake love to be the first mv i watched once i decided to learn more about the group, despite the era having already passed.

4. what’s your favourite mv?

svt: fallin’ flower. hands down, without a question.

bts: it might just be lights. i think my default answer would have been blood sweat & tears (solely because that’s the only song on my mind, apparently), but no, i’m a soft stan at heart, and lights fulfills that (and taehyung blue hair).

5. if you could listen to one of their songs for the rest of your life, which would it be?

svt: habit. hands down, without a question. (that is my all-time favourite seventeen song; i have many other favourites, but this one is undoubtedly at the top of my list.)

bts: unlike seventeen, i do not have just one favourite song that outranks the rest. i have too many favourite bts songs, so this question is challenging. i think it has to depend on my mood. blue & grey, for instance, fulfills my love for slow, ballad-esque songs, but the mood that louder than bombs and cypher 4 emanate... need i say more?

6. who would you want to see them collab with?

svt: i don’t think i have a strong answer for this question as collabs aren’t something i normally think about. i do really enjoy the product of pink sweat$’s collab with seokmin and joshua, so maybe something similar to that?

bts: i think the boys’ relationship with halsey is absolutely adorable and wholesome, so i wouldn’t mind seeing that again. oh! or becky g. again too! i just adore how she and hoseok are so so supportive of each other.

7. what mv concept do you want to see them do?

svt: luna, you answered something similar to blood sweat & tears, and i agree with you x1000. yes, that expensive, artistic, but broodingly dark and sensual concept. ha... yeah, i’d like to see that.

bts: ... am i allowed to answer a blood sweat & tears pt 2 here? okay, but i’m SO sad that i missed out on orange-haired hoseok... and just the whole wings era in general.

8. have you ever had a dream with any of the members in it?

svt: yes, and if i’m being specific, the whole idea to begin my IWYMH fic (aka, the first story i posted to tumblr) was inspired by a dream i had. to be fair, a lot of it was sourced as i was writing it, but specifically, the whole parking lot scene with the dog was from a dream i had. i know that there was a different time where joshua was helping me with understanding something in korean. i remember, i was trying to figure out an honorific for “잘자요,” but for some reason, shua responded with “bon ici”??? although none of the translations made sense, i don’t think i’ll ever understand how i managed to dream in english, korean, and french that night.

bts: i know i’ve had dreams with bts members as well since my dreams tend to be very vivid, but nothing in particular comes to mind (and i rambled enough for that above answer anyways).

9. if you could spend the day with one member, who would it be, and what would you do?

svt: since i am biased as hell, hands down one of my six biases... but which one? uhh, that’ll probably depend on my mood that day. right now (since he’s been bias wrecking me the most lately) i’d probably say seokmin because he just makes me ~happy~. there’s nothing in particular that i’d want to do, just hang out, maybe grab some lunch, something low-key like that.

bts: hoseok. yeah, hoseok, please and thanks. and the same thing as above, just something low-maintenance would be my preferred thing to do.

10. which member do you think you would get on best with?

svt: i think temperament-wise, i am the most similar to a combination of minghao and jihoon, with a sprinkle of joshua in the mix. so, only logically will i choose chan. no, there’s no logic there, i just think because we’re the same age, he may enjoy being (technically, because of birth months) older than someone for once. (and i think our mbti types are, like, super, super compatible?)

bts: likewise, i think i have the most similar temperament as yoongi, so my answer is hoseok. no, i don’t accept constructive criticism here. thanks.

11. which member do you think you would argue with?

svt: i try to avoid conflict as best as possible, so technically none. however, i am the kind of person to playfully tease those who i feel comfortable around, so maybe seungkwan or jeonghan since they seem to be the same way.

bts: with the same reasoning as above, i think i’d bicker the most with seokjin or jimin. only playfully, of course, not for actual arguments.

12. if you had to choose one member to scroll through your tumblr, who would it be?

svt: oh dear, if i had to have one of them do this, maybe vernon, i guess? just because i take him as someone who wouldn’t have a strong opinion on it. the “to each their own” mindset is something that i think vernon has.

bts: this one pains me even more to think about. perhaps namjoon or taehyung for a similar reason as above?

jung hoseok when i get direct sunlight in my room! but it doesn’t happen very often, mostly during the summertime. when it does happen, though, it really does brighten my mood!

lee seokmin hearing others’ who can sing really well! i sing (casually) but am nowhere near technically talented at it. hearing those who are gifted with a powerful voice just makes me beam.

lee chan likewise, seeing those who are talented at dancing also makes me happy! (is second-hand proudness a thing?)

xu minghao when the teabag is strong enough to make a second cup of tea! i often save my teabags to reuse a second time, but not always do they have the strength to make another cup of tea.

min yoongi the time after i do the laundry and all the fabric smells really good! especially when i wash my blankets; i never enjoy re-making my bed after washing the sheets, but the aftermath of the freshness of the fabric softener is always worth it.

i adore both yoongi and jihoon’s voices for very different reasons !! yoon for overall talking and stuff (and of course rapping adkfdskh), but ji for singing! (this is me justifying saying both as an answer)

the hell? putting the feb 18 boys against each other? i think hoseok and seokmin have very similar senses of humour. i can’t pick, they both make me laugh a lot ;-;
