Jasper is an abusor. She abused Lapis. Why are you supporting Jasper? She'll never came back and so Lapis can be free again and happy.
Ok, listen well.
I do not like Lapis. I do not like his character. I find Lapis too Marie-Sue.But that’s my vision, and everyone is free to enjoy Lapis or not.
I’m not there, a knife under everyone’s throat, to whisper in your ear “you must stop appreciating Lapis.”
It’s my choice and my right to appreciate or not a character.I respect Crewniverse’s work, watch out, I love what they do and I enjoy every episode.
But Lapis, I can not.
Why do I support Jasper?
Because I appreciate his character.
I appreciate what Steven Universe’s team did with her.
I really like her character design. And all her development, even if it’s minimal.
Now … Jasper an abuser …No, first of all, it was canonically said that it was Lapis who abused Jasper, when they were Malachite.I will not say anything more about that.
Yes, Jasper is also responsible. But she is not an abuser.
Well, I hope Jasper will come back. She has all the reasons in the world to come back.
This is such a Lapis song omf.
So, after a lot of consideration and debating, I'm pretty certain that Lapis is a sighthound cross of some sort (which is apparently called a lurcher, who knew). Once I've got some extra money, I'll do a dna test but honestly, she's just so long and fast and holy cow. She totally clears the fence like a spring.
Lapis graduated from her doggy class today and she was so good!! We’ll actually go back for a second graduation with another doggy who was one week behind her (because of reasons, but essentially now they get to play together next week). I’m just so proud of how much progress she’s made. My mom was so nice too and made little pawprint necklaces with lapis lazuli charms on them to give to my trainer and to the groomer who helped us with our leash walking. It was a really good day for us. :)
Lapis got loose today and it scared me so bad. She has zero recall, she didn't even flip an ear to respond to her name. She was sprinting around a field behind a softball field in a college campus and I only caught her because she found all the gross sunflower seed hulls by the bleachers *and* I had a handful of treats. But now I'm really rattled and don't really know how to deal with it? Add that to her ever insatiable teeth, which just chewed through the lacings on a football I got specifically for her. :/ She loves the damn thing, but jeez. Can she not destroy something for once?
So it's pretty much definite that Lapis has some mild separation anxiety. She whines and barks and howls if I leave her in her crate and go upstairs. If I leave her out of the crate and alone in a room for more than about two minutes she starts chewing up and destroying things she otherwise wouldn't touch. Sigh. Last night I finally said fuck it and let her sleep in bed with me, and instead of whining and shaking in her crate this morning, she was totally 100% calm and relaxed and happy. I just. Why?
So last Friday, we started working on leave it. Started with treats and toys (she caught on super fast) and now! We are working on leave it for the birds and also for cats. She can only leave one cat at a time, so two of them have to be put up while we work on it, but she is doing so good with the bird cage. She's mainly interested in the seed hulls on the floor and in the cage bottom now, which is fine. They can't really hurt her. But I am so proud. No hyperfocus on the birds. No jumping on the cage. I'm getting very optimistic and am just so proud of her. :)
