just a small request aaaaaaaa concerning about tagging
I’m not pointing at anyone in particular! I love everyone who add tags and comments, I really really appreciate it, really!!
But I have a teeny tiny request. It kind of lends itself to my past experiences in the fandom orz;;;.
could I ask that when you reblog my art, please avoid writing comments like: I need a fic of this au; someone needs to write this au ?
bc it kind of... takes the idea out of my hands and kind of makes it a free grab for other people? ^^;;
I know it’s not anyone’s intention!! And some ppl are kind enough to ask me for permission; but seeing the tag sort of pressures me to quickly rush and develop an idea, when I usually take a very long time to flesh anything out orz;;;;;;;;;;;;;
ahhh sorry for rambling; I just don’t want what happened in the past to repeat orz;; I remember being swarmed with asks and messages badgering me to share information about this AU or that idea, and I work terribly under pressure;; I like to draw at my leisurely pace aa;
(also I have no idea what the heck I’m doing half the time; shh, just let me draw my way around....)
but yea, this is a bit of a ramble;; kinda don’t really want to get pressured out of a fandom again weeps;;
OFC I CANT CONTROL WHAT PEOPLE TAG; that’s ridiculous of me to ask, but I guess just smth for the people who do read ahh TvT sorry for such a ridiculous request orz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz;;;
(I do tag read and I like reading tags a lot so ahhhhhhhhhh sorry orz)
AH also, anyone is welcome to write their own version of whatever au I draw!! You don’t need permission from me, you don’t even need to tell me, since all my ideas are really generic. ^^;;/ In return, please just treat it as a divergence from whatever I’m doing.
I hope it's not weird to ask this but as an artist what are your weaknesses? You seem like you can draw anything you want but are there some stuff you still struggle with? Like drawing hands or coloring? Just curious^^ sorry for my bad english I hope you understand what I mean.
Hello!! This isn’t weird at all!! I think it’s important as an artist to be critical of what your strengths/weakness are, and I’m not ashamed to disclose it.
I struggle with a lot of things, here are some (minus perspective/anatomy bc that’s a given struggles _(:3) :
1) drawing hc: rather than just draw poses, I want to depict some kind of headcanon, a small mini-story; it’s hard for me to come up with art that acts like a small snapshot into a bigger story. I tend to slide into my comfort zone which are poses or concept designs for clothes. I want to incorporate more story, but it’s tough _(:3;;
2) dynamic composition/ depicting movement; I think this is self-explanatory. Some of my artwork is really stiff; I do my best to break out of it and change the angle maybe.
3) comic/paneling/storytelling: I study a lot of the doujinshis I own to try to figure out if there’s a formula for it. 7 panels a page; what kind of sfx do I add to create the effect I need, what should I draw to depict surprise, suspense, how do I arrange the panels in a way that makes reading it smoothly while conveying my meaning?
4) Same face/eyes syndrome: it’s not a problem I really think that I need to address since I’m not an industry artist/going professional; but it’s something I’m conscious of and try to change slowly.
5) letting things go: my favorite type of style and artist are those who post messy sketches as is because I think it holds a sort of wonder and personality to it??; I’m doing my best to stop myself from being a ~completionist~ and just stop at certain points. (tho lately most of my work are semi-clean huff; the only messy sketch I’ve done was that akashi punching nash in the face one but even then…TvT;;; )
6) feet & toes; yup.

The feeling when you look at all your art thumbnail and it’s somewhere along the warm spectrum; even blues are warm. __(:3

Thanks for asking haha; Actually the real reason is because somewhere along the first few weeks of drawing it, I became really self-conscious about clogging up the tag. __(:3; I think any fancreation has the power to mold a fandom and/or the hc surrounding how characters are depicted. (Actually, I ended up adopting a lot of a pixiv artists’ hc for niji/aka haha.)
So yeah... I have my own hc of how I see niji/aka, but I also didn’t want to force anyone to see what they didn’t want or kind of push my idea of what they were onto other people. ^q^;;

4. how often do you draw?As much as possible!! Probably every day;;; _(:3;;; I think it’d be easier to say I go without drawing maybe twice a week; tho yea…so busy sometimes orz.
9. what drawing program do you use? (if the artist does digital art)
Paint Tool Sai! and Photoshop CS6. I used to dabble into making graphics way back in the day forums were still alive; so I kind of use those nifty color editing skills on my art ^q^ I think there’s only so much a human can do when creating contrast and unifying atmospheres on Paint Tool Sai; I think most of my pics come out really pale and desaturated until I toss it into photoshop.
Using gradients, layer styles as filters, I can further unify the entire picture, sharpen the image, add more effects, etc.. :3b
