Lyra
Lyra has always been out and about a lot, even when Sakyr came into the picture. She explored the Aether on Eden II and beyond the stars while being a strong advocate against the limitations and strict controls over Aether-Linked and their ability to weave Aether.
While Sakyr was still a baby and in the care of his father, Emrys, an incident happened and Lyra got injured while losing control of the Aether she weaved. Emrys lost all contact to her afterwards, eventually assuming that she must have died in that incident. However, she did survive and as someone who lost control over Aether, she's being hunted down as a dangerous criminal ever since and had to go into hiding while recovering.
The problem is though, Lyra's link to the Aether has become so unstable that she she leaves destruction in her wake wherever she goes. She is no longer able to fully control how much or little Aether she's pulling, with explosive outcomes. Her sanity also begins to take a toll, exposed to leaking Aether around her, causing unwanted destruction, and being hunted as a criminal.
Eventually, Lyra starts to believe that the Aether specifically chose her to deliver a message to the worlds. That the Aether has enough of being used and scrutinized, that it desires to eliminate those mistrusting it, those wanting to lock the element and its users away. All the non-believers. She gathers other criminals with a connection to the Aether and builds a cult-like group around her that worships and uses the Aether in forbidden and destructive ways. Lyra's own growing aether addiction further deranges her.
Lyra is a short but fierce lady. She's 110 years old, but due to Goblins aging slower than humans, she is more like 60. I'm still working out her appearance details, but she is likely wearing a mask in the public. I will eventually work out a concept sketch for her and Emrys as well.
