So I'm slowly just having Mabel always be a little magical because of the bubble. The main thing I'm doing is that she sometimes just slips into other dimensions for a bit. So headcanon, I think Ford made Mabel a little tracking chip that's like under her skin that just says what dimension she's in. So if she suddenly goes missing, they can know if it's because her powers and she'll be back soon, or if something else happened.
